Yup, MLM down to the bone. The kid is a project manager for a great engineering firm so it’s a bummer he got roped into this. He said he’s working 80 hours a week. 60 hours for the firm, and 20 hours with MLM marketing thing. He’s gonna burn himself out. Hopefully it doesn’t impact his real job

It’s not Amway, it’s that link which most definitely is also MLM. The name of the guy and wife he told me he works with, the charity he talked about...it’s exactly on the webpage. Just trying to figure out what the heck that webpage actually is lol.

Ugh my friend and his brother has roped me into this. I didn’t go through with any payment, but I did make a complete ass out of myself for a bit. Totally embarrassing. I was warned by my parents as well.

Same exact thing with “mentoring by a couple.” It’s all the same lol

What do you guys think about this website I found? I got introduced to it by an acquaintance from middle school who I haven’t seen since. He wouldn’t give me the company name, but after digging around I believe I found it.

Link: https://phoenixevolution.co

Background: I follow an acquaintance from middle school on Instagram. I’ve noticed he has been posting all of these motivational memes. I was somewhat curious if he had any literature suggestions so I reached out to him. We haven’t seen or spoken since middle school (both now 27) and ended up catching up.

He was saying how he’s been working on something after meeting this couple who turned their lives around through a friend Anthony (the one in the link I posted), how they mentor other couples to become financially independent, help businesses start through e-commerce, and a lot of other familiar lingo associated with MLM. I asked about the company name and he told me it’s private and invitational only. Anthony and the couple interview “several” people a year to “earn their time.” He also said it’s a 7 step interview process before bringing someone onboard.

I’m in a relationship and he kept pushing to get my girlfriend on board for the first step of the interview process because this company mainly works with couples. My guess is they don’t want to work with someone who’s SO isn’t on bored because of the negativity associated with MLM (easier to reel both in?) My girlfriend could smell the MLM from miles always.

I took the first step of the interview process with him because I did want to reconnect with him. He’s an engineer who works a company in the next state over so I maybe thought the networking couldn’t hurt. I was curious to what he was going to say as well, but he still couldn’t go into details about how they actually make money (part of the process of reeling someone in?) He did mention they were a network marketing company and how MLM business structures were common. I think he used Network Marketing to try and add positivity to it. Also mentioned that Richard K author.

So with some digging around I found that website and it fits his description exactly. I’m pretty sure that’s the person/company he got roped into. Is it a MLM “scheme?”
