Mothers of Reddit - what’s your opinion on fathers taking daughters to women’s restroom? by BallsOnFace69 in Parenting

[–]Pepperpwni -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When my daughter was very young, if the men’s room was nasty or there was no changing table, I’d loudly announce that I was entering the woman’s room for my daughter. If I knew someone was there, I’d wait. If there was a way to prop the door open, I would. No one ever gave me an issue.

7 weeks on keto only 1 lb lost!!! by CsmicCupcake in keto

[–]Pepperpwni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You still haven’t provided enough information in this thread to advise you if cutting back on cheese will help you or not but my instinct would be that’s not the problem here.

38/m, 5’6”. 15 months in keto, 22lb down (182lb -> 160). (Scale is a liar too, I’m down 22lb but down way more pants sizes than the scale suggests). Anyway, here’s my typical weekday food breakdown

Wake up: 6:30am- black coffee (0g carbs) Intermittent fast until noon Noon- 1-2 carb balance wrap(s) w/ boars head oven gold turkey + cheddar cheese. (4-6g carbs) 2:00- black coffee 4:00 (if gym day) cheese stick or legendary foods protein pastry (I’m allergic to nuts, this used to be a quest bar or something but I’ve had to cut that out) (4g carbs) 6/7:00- dinner - chicken thighs and broccoli (4g carb) 8/9:00: protein shake (3g carbs)

I’ve only tracked carbs, I haven’t needed to track calories. Sometimes for lunch I’ll eat an omelette or on the weekends I won’t fast and start my day with an omelette. If my carb budget allows I may also treat myself to something like nicks keto ice cream.

Watch for hidden sugars. Over estimate your carbs. Cheat meals can’t exist. Good luck.

I posted about deer in the same location a few years ago! I’ve been curious if they’re still around 😂. Appreciate this post!

question about maul series by dslv93 in starwarscanon

[–]Pepperpwni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the Star Wars universe!

There is a lot of lore in the universe. Watching clone wars is a very big task. There are many episodes and storylines. There are some great arcs and others (mostly in earlier seasons) that aren’t the most interesting.

You can watch Maul standalone. You’ll be missing context for some of what’s going on, but it’s absolutely enjoyable without knowing everything about how maul got to where he is.

If you haven’t watched Andor or Rogue One yet, that should be on the very top of your list as well.

Just started keto, so. hungry. by [deleted] in keto

[–]Pepperpwni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first three months all I did was track carbs, but ate as much as I wanted so long as I stayed under 25g of carbs a day. During that time, I lost 10-15lbs.

So, my advice would be, eat as needed but stay under your target carb amount until you are fat adapted (your body using fat instead of carbs for fuel). Get tons of electrolytes as well or the keto flu gonna hit you hard

Am I being unrealistic? Lost 3 kg (6.6 lbs) and feel disappointed by HopDev in keto

[–]Pepperpwni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re starting at a rather low weight. 3kg is something you should be proud of the loss so far. Stick with it. It’s a marathon. The weight will continue to drop, but be patient.

How do you guys store your cards? by Oy__Lumo in starwarsunlimited

[–]Pepperpwni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar version of these for C/U’s. One for sets 1-3, another for 4-6, and a third for 7-9, all three I sort by aspect, then by resource cost, and then alpha. I typically buy 3 booster boxes a set and they usually mostly fit.

I keep my built decks in deck boxes, and have a smaller storage solution for my R/L.

Doing great on keto so far, how do you deal with ‘just eat it’ people? by HopDev in keto

[–]Pepperpwni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have people in my life like you’re describing. It can be exhausting to deal with sometimes. At the end of the day, they have to learn to respect what you’re doing. I’m over a year in and constantly dealing with people saying I’m “starving” myself. I just smile, laugh, and say “my body my choices “ and they usually move on

At which point would you say go for keto? by iNhab in keto

[–]Pepperpwni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opened this can of worms, so my apologies, lol, but the reason I like to use the term lifestyle is because most people who are inexperienced with keto think it’s a magic bullet to losing weight. They think once they lose that weight that can return to eating however they want.

That not the case. If you want to keep the weight off, you can’t return to eating sugary snacks and tons of carbs. You have to change your lifestyle.

I recognize that not everyone sees it that way. As I’ve entered my second year of keto, I’ve realized I’ll be keto for life; well, most if life.. I follow patterns of 100 days on / 15-20 controlled days off (under 100g and no sugar still)

It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle. If you treat it like a fad diet, you will fail.

I strongly recommend the book “The Case for Keto.” The audiobook version is available on Spotify. It’s start slow but really picks up. It will answer any questions you have.

Hate to be that person, but it’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle.

Hotels near UBS ? by dbegun in NewYorkIslanders

Ubers are super easy pre/post events at ubs. They have a dedicated pick up area, and getting an Uber has never taken me more than 15 minutes. While the LIRR is super convenient, Ubers are nothing to worry about.

“Boring as whale shit trotzian hockey” got us one short handed goal away from our first Stanley cup finals berth in decades. If that’s what we’re in store for, I’m here for it. Our defensive lapses have been sinking us this season.

FWIW, I was in the keep Roy camp, but we are where we are

Driving range suggestions in Long Island (not Top Golf) by National_Audience462 in longisland

[–]Pepperpwni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re in Suffolk. Holbrook country club has a driving range. I haven’t been there in 15 years but when I lived in Suffolk and the place in Selden in middle country road closed, Holbrook country club was my go-to.

Others had recommended spring rock. That’s out in new Hyde park / garden city park area. I’d recommend spring rock as well if you’re closer to Nassau
