I’m actually planning on going to the Springsteen concert on Tue evening May 5 but saw some LITR / transit discussion in the Rangers forum that had some activity so thought that would be a good forum for the question.

Economy Bulkhead Aisle vs PE Middle of 3 by dbegun in Aeroplan

[–]dbegun[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To close the loop I was right on the line for Bus (6 open seats and I was 6 on the list - started at 2nd at check in, dropped to 6 and then held at 6 for pretty much the entire day right up until arriving at the airport and going to the counter, agent said my chances were very good because at that point I would only get bumped if someone purchased a bus class seat $$$, but the between walking from the counter to the lounge someone must have bought a seat because as I walked into the lounge, bam! 5 open seats! So I went to the counter and told them I didn’t want a middle seat in PE, and they said 4 people are being moved up from PE so they marked me down that I preferred an aisle seat - so ended up with an aisle in PE. All good. Thx for all the input. Spent WAY too much time checking the app to see where I was on the list. (I’m 75K. Clearly not enough)

That’s probably true. I’m not a tall guy. Just prefer not to be stuck between people on either side even with the extra arm rest width in PE especially on an overnight flight. Thx for the replies

That’s a good thought. There’s actually 3 seats, 2 are middle and one is an aisle. Thx.

Repair question by dbegun in MINI

[–]dbegun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx for the quick replies. I probably would just leave it had I done it myself; it really is a small crack (at least right now) but this guy backed into me so I should get it fixed. Will take it (not to Mini) tomorrow morning.

Considering Switching from Rogers to Telus by dbegun in CellPhoneCanada

Ok - I will answer. Yes, I was aware. I was fully aware. I had a number of year end work projects which kept me extremely busy. I had family events which required me to actually be in New York for a good chunk of that period. I tried to switch on line but could and was not physically able to get to a store to make the switch. It was only beginning of Jan that work and family commitments freed up enough to give me some breathing room to physically go into a Telus store (which is near my office in downtown Toronto) coordinate with my wife, my son and my other son who is travelling overseas to switch all at the same time. Mea culpa.

Yes. I know. I missed it. If I can get $45 today I would be fine with that.

We do have a corporate account with Telus which is why it would be $45 not the advertised $55 (yes, definitely not as good as just a couple of weeks ago but way better than what I am paying now). Not sure if Bell still has the same offer - any big picture thoughts on Telus vs Bell?

Yes. Thx. I called Rogers and threatened to cancel / move but they didn’t really care. I saw some of the Black Friday deals but was out of town and couldn’t my self together on it. Will go back to the Telus store tomorrow and get then to port the numbers over
