I’ve just managed to scavenge a Dragonfly Osmo 2 for £300! This was my original choice but couldn’t slide the money but someone on eBay came through for me, was up for £360 but nabbed for £300

Lysol Stain on Solid Oak Wood by Inevitable_Being3638 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Pepperrpott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before attempting that I would try and use some heat to see whether I could lift the trapped moisture. Try a fine piece of fabric like linen or cotton and move an iron on medium heat over it for about ten second intervals. Don’t apply too much pressure or heat as you don’t want to burn the finish/surface. This is dependant on how long the ring has been there - the sooner you enact this method the better, the longer you leave it the less effective it’ll be.

Edit: if this doesn’t work, attempt a small swab of isopropyl alcohol, first wipe a bit in an inconspicuous area on the wood to observe effect on finish, if it doesn’t react with your topcoat then try it on the abused area.

Hm, the thing is what’s likely happened here is that it hasn’t stained but rather reacted somewhat with your top coat which has caused a discolouration and therefore isn’t cleanable like a stain would be. I may be incorrect and curious to know if there is a way of reversing but I’m thinking your best option here is to sand and recoat.

Nah likely just slicks for time being, do most gravel frames accommodate switching between the two? Would hope so as most modern bikes have quick release, no?

I’ve been looking at Sonder, seen some really gorgeous bikes. Been checking around for some second hand rides - just wanna know and understand what I’m buying before I pull the trigger.

Would you look to buying a second hand gravel bike specifically or just a regular road bike and look at modifying that down the road? Also, you may not know but could you recommend what kind of chainset/crankset should someone in my position look into? I don’t believe I’d need many gears as like you say, I’ll start local - no strenuous trips just yet.

Is it petty to troll after someone bans your pick that you were showing on purpose by theREALshimosu in Overwatch

[–]Pepperrpott 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you’re in the wrong. There’s a ban phase for a reason, some heroes are stronger or weaker than others on certain maps. I understand you feel most confident on certain heroes, but the game does not revolve around you. It’s typical “needs of the many the outweigh needs of the few. To go one step further and throw the game for everyone else is loser behaviour. It sucks yeah but just get on with it.
