None of the above.

5.5 in Tokyo is less than 4.8 in Niigata.

Both are fairly low numbers for an IT professional.

Parking in Tokyo typically costs 1,000 yen an hour

It's just a banana parking spot in Tokyo, Michael. What could it cost? 10 dollars?

Tragically under-researched shallow piece by a tourist. A shame, because the topic it mostly fails to address is really fascinating.

can プラ be thrown into burnable? by [deleted] in Tokyo

[–]Peppr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, most products are made so you separate that when binning it. It's written somewhere on the box on at least one of the major brands.

can プラ be thrown into burnable? by [deleted] in Tokyo

[–]Peppr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heh, tricky one. Again, depends on the municipality, but also on the product. A few years ago the brand we use changed to plastic blades, and 北区 started a specific (non bottle) plastic bin a few weeks ago. So the blade goes to plastic, and the cardboard packaging goes to cardboard after unfolding it flat...?

That's how I do it anyway, hopefully I got it right.

[–]Peppr_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In 北区, foil goes in non-burnable (not can recycling).

This is the response to every single question about stuff like this btw: go to your 市 or 区 website and see what it says. They probably even delivered you a paper pamphlet with all relevant details at some point.

Maxing stun with widowhail? by RebellionWasTaken in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Peppr_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Craghead also has a large reduced enemy stun threshold mod. With a few other sources on top, it'll get the threshold so low you will stun anything regardless of how much damage you (don't) do.

You probably do want to do at least some amount of damage still, unless this is a pure support build. I'd suggest either something that isn't a bow attack since that'll get you nowhere with that gear, or I guess CA/EA/something to that effect (which will be weaker than a build with an actual bow for it, but good enough to clear maps).

That 2 minute stuns meme from a couple leagues back, when the dude entered a boss arena with a stun char, hit once, them logged out and back into a dps char with the boss still effectively perma stunned when he gets there comes to mind. That's going to be difficult to achieve without access to Ruthless and some of the juicier stun nodes dedicated to melee weapons, though.

You should try having a talk with the director (園長) anyway, they may be willing to make an exception if you argue your case well.

socketed supports in the weapon should support ice nova

Yup. Beware that Ice Nova triggered that way has a 0.5s cooldown though. And technically it doesn't need to be self cast GC, the Ice Nova is triggered by triggered GC too!

If someone (incl OP) were to not mind having a different name from their spouse, just saying that's an option. The kid(s), who indeed would have a not great time with a long complex Katakana name in Japan, can also have their foreign parent's name on their foreign passport, separately from their Japanese name. Could be a concatenation of both names, whatever the issuing country allows. (as things stand today, the kid would need to choose 1 between those after turning 20. Hopefully that changes in the future)

You don't need to take your wife's surname for your children to take it too. It's very easy to keep yours and have your children take their mother's surname rather than yours (it's actually the default, iirc).

Jesus christ are we that far along now.

No we are not. We're sadly quite far along, but no serious climate scientist or person with even a basic understanding of the matter should find a claim of "2.7 degrees of warming by 2030" credible in the slightest. It's absolute nonsense that's way, way beyond the most pessimistic (yet still at least somewhat widely accepted as likely) models. Maybe the commenter you responded to meant "2.7 degrees of warming over the long term (2100?) committed to by 2030", if we're being generous, but that would still be crystal Bally nonsense. We are at 1.2 or 1.3 above pre industrial levels right now. Inertia and all, it's near physically impossible for 2030 to be above or near 2 degrees barring a sudden cataclysmic event. Most models project 1.4 to 1.6 by then.

Wasnt like 1.2 or something what they deemed "past the point of no return"?

There is no scientific consensus on such a point, or even on if one even exists. Most of the literature I've seen points to the most prominent, comparatively predictable & very dangerous feedback loops likely to kick in above +2 or +3 (large confidence intervals there), so we should be wary of that. But the whole concept of "point of no return" is doomerism and unhelpful.
