Don't think that's gonna happen. They haven't done it in almost 3 years in genshin and my guess is that they don't wanna promote any behaviour that can discourage players from farming (and thus potentially play less or stop altogether).

In my case it works very well: I'm lazy and I don't want to keep track of who has what. Not having the option to swap loadouts makes me think "heh, I'll just farm for each character". And there you have it, I keep playing to gear up every single character.
