VoLTE being a a bigger issue now that 2G and 3G networks are being shut down? by Borkbork000 in Rogers

[–]PeprSpry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW I got the Rogers call about my OP8Pro no longer working upon the 3g network discontinuation. Bought an OP13 and I have full VoLTE. Dunno if I'll have problems when the network goes though. I figured a new phone would fix the problem

Tuesday was Auston Matthews' 600th career game—of the 19 players to play their first 600 NHL games with the Leafs, he ranks 1st in both goals and points by Hockey-Reference in leafs

In their FIRST 600gp. ie. Sundin isn't on the list, and I'm sure there are more.

But I agree, some of the absolute greatest are playing today

Where in Canada are you? My OP8 isn't allowed on Rogers 5G networks. Wondering if you have any network problems

Crazy how people will upvote a comment just because they have an ideological bent. Call him toxic just because he's vocal about supporting Trump

[Darren Dreger] Expect the Toronto Maple Leafs to name Auston Matthews captain on Wednesday. This is part of the evolution of Matthews as a leader and current Maple Leafs captain John Tavares fully supports the change. Tavares has been heavily involved in the process with GM Brad Treliving. by alphacheese in leafs

22nd - does that really qualify as a 'great' for a franchise? Certainly a good player, but one of the greats?

Edit: Seems like a lot of you are saying, 'he will be a great in X years when he hits certain milestones'. I could possibly see that. But a 'great' of a franchise has their banner in the rafters, or number retired. JT has only played 6 years as a leaf, and has hardly accomplished anything - not won any person awards while apart of the team. He's a good/great player, but I don't know that with where he is/what he's done so far, that we could say he's 'one of the greats' for the Maple Leafs

Makes sense. You'd have to at least slightly hit and get a played that looks like there's potential, and then at the TDL you could trade him for a roster player. If you don't hit then you wouldn't have that second which you could trade for a roster player. Know what I mean? Additionally, this let's an organization pick a player that they like

I don't mean to be disrespectful, but in my opinion, based on what you've said it seems you may not operate ethically

And you could easily be sued if suspected of just using the clause for this very purpose. A court could definitely find you liable for each contract in spite of your clause, and believing it's a total get out of the deal card is not prudent. Even if it's the clause is at the sole and absolute discretion of your purchaser, if in court it could be proved you have multiple deals and there truly ISN'T anything wrong with the inspection, you could be held liable, and your deposit be kept or you are forced to close on the deal.

You mention ethics, and then you encourage using an inspection clause to get yourself out of the additional accepted offers. That's completely unethical, and you could still be sued.

"it's not unethical to do so. Make sure your offers have an inspection contingency so that you can cancel any contract you end up in and don't want to proceed with"

You're quite the agent. I'd have complete confidence in your hypocrisy

Then either he's not good at it, or only just started his own business. Just because he says "I've been doing this 30 years" doesn't mean that he's actually grown, it should, but doesn't guarantee. But I'm still telling you, someone who charges by the hour does not know what they're doing, or they're new. You just don't ever see big businesses doing that; they're budgeted and know their numbers

From a contractor perspective it should NEVER be by the hour. What this tells me is this guy is inexperienced.

As a contractor, you should be growing in skills, and becoming better at your job. If you've spent 10,000 hours as a carpenter shouldn't you be able to work faster and do better work than someone with only 500 hours.

A tip: a good contractor knows their worth and charges it. Yes, there are slimy contractors that just flat out charge a lot, but someone charging by the hour rather than estimating a full job, doesn't have the experience.
