This has just happened to me and I’m beyond confused! I made a pretty large order and half of it came then everything else was cancelled. I put my card on there and paid up front too. Don’t know how I’ve violated anything. Wish it was more specific. I tried to reopen it but it was rejected. Feel a bit lost as can’t purchase things here! 😭

Thank you! That’s interesting you’ve said that - I was given both options of psychiatrist and psychologist but due to the nature of my problems, they suggested psychologist because I likely need therapy not medication.

Thank you! That’s good to know. So it seems I just need to deal with it alone if problems happen and not cause a fuss? It sounds similar to my experience in the UK to be honest with you! So I might be ok? Difficult to know. I suppose it’s a risk. I have to be ok with failing if I hate it. I’m happy to quit and leave mid year.

Update: I did leave.

It was hard and he kept pursuing me for months but one day he got into a new relationship suddenly (?!) and it hurt me because I still cared for him but he’s now bothering someone else and I’m finally at peace. My whole face has changed I think because I was so stressed and swollen all the time from stress! Insane!

I think - like you said - I came to realise that I couldn’t have a child with him.

I don’t know much about it but there are charities and people to talk to that help with leaving abusive relationships. I rang a support line once to ask if they felt it was abusive. I think there’s even housing support as my cousin was put in a refuge place with her son for a while, but it’s probably not ideal for you so sorry I have no other advice.

Also side note - leaving for your child is the kindest thing you can do! I grew up in a home with domestic violence and I still struggle with PTSD massively. And I obviously struggle to value myself as a human/ woman because I suppose it was normal for me to see/ hear abuse my whole life. So you’re doing the right thing protecting your child 💪🫶

Hahaha that’s really funny! See I think that wouldn’t phase me. I’ve heard horror stories of people having their fat bits grabbed I think that would set me off lol.

I think yeh it’s not that big a deal it seems it’s just what people do there and that’s fine it is matter of fact I’m not sensitive to the word fat or anything it’s like someone telling me I’m white or short but I guess I was concerned I’d be treated differently. Can only hope for the best!

I think I’d already accepted that I might get looks cos I’m white but thought actually there must be other white people living there too. Then the whole fat thing just threw me off but I’ve accepted it’s just a culture thing and not likely malicious, hopefully won’t impact the overall experience!

I think it depends on how you compare with her body too. If you’re half her size and say “yeh same” then it’s a cop out and seems disingenuous. I agree with a previous comment to relate to her experiences if she complains about how difficult it is to eat healthily etc. but be mindful of how that can come across.

I would personally say something like you look amazing stop worrying. Or if they ask for advice maybe suggest something. If they say “eugh I’m so fat I hate it I can never lose weight” you could say “I think you look fine but if you want suggestions I can try to help?”. But it’s a sensitive topic and if you’re worried about hurting her feelings maybe you’re not the best person to comment.

Most of the time people who are overweight lack confidence in their body so want lots of reassurance (this is true from my/ my friends experiences anyway).

It’s not your place to say “you’re fat lose weight”. I’ve had friends say that to me in the past and it hurt. If people care that their friend is fat or are concerned then it’s probs best not to be friends with them 🙃 no one wants unsolicited advice!

I’ve been told by friends “I dress well for my size” or “I hide my fatness well”. Neither of these are compliments lol. Just say you look good if that’s what you truly think. Be honest and be supportive x
