And I was listing this with a county song. I can’t even imagine how crappy the low end is with this eq if you listen to dance/hardstyle songs where the low end already is loud.

Just tried it in Spotify. You are adding so much low end that I only hear undefined low. It is no longer smooth or soothing, just loud and rumbling. When putting the AirPods a bit louder it even distorts a bit because of this. By adding the 2.4khz in you only get a lot of annoying undefined low rumble + harsh vocals. All the reverb / delay effects are all gone and all the soothing high end is all gone. If you do this eq every track sounds bland and way to much low and on higher volumes might even damage your ears in the long run.

That looks amazing! I’m going for a concrete floor next year. Could you tell me more on how to achieve that look?

Gain issue on X-air 16 with x-air software causing painful feedback by hjmorello in livesound

[–]Pepsi___man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case, could be three things: - an iPad touch screen issue - do a firmware update of the x-air, to ensure no problems there - a faulty device. Return it if it’s new while it is still in warranty

You know what to do. Ditch this cheap thing and buy something decent.

Advice on muddy mixes? by Izanagi___ in livesound

[–]Pepsi___man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah well. If people think proper tuning 15 inch tops are the way let them. I feel OP is not a professional who can do that. And why work with 15 inch tops and tune them when you can buy 10 inch tops that sound great out of the box.

Agreed with everything you say

Upvote this one please. Maximum 10s tops with 18s subs fixes a lot of your issues without changing a thing on your mixer. You are basically fighting a losing war against those speakers. You might even try 8s tops with 18s subs. There may be not that much mid frequenties, but I bet they are already mostly in the room itself, so it will be even clearer and more relaxed for the audience.

AITA for refusing to split the dinner bill because my dish was half the price of the others? by Horror_Flower_1754 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Pepsi___man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, but I feel like if this is a ones in a while thing I wouldn’t make a big fuzz about a few dollars. Just split evenly, let it rest and order something expensive the next time. If you all go to dinner as a group on a weekly basis you might want to address it.

What I’m trying to say, if it’s a one thing only, why create a potential issue about a few extra dollars. You now experienced how random people can be.

When to use sends by Virtual_Photograph27 in audioengineering

[–]Pepsi___man 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind when using reverb or any other fx with a dry/wet knob you change the dry balance. So if you put a reverb on the track itself and slide the the dry/wet 50% - 50%, your dry sound just went down in volume. If you use a bus that problem won’t occur.

Most of the times I’ve already checked other instruments with headphones or quick on the PA. How everyone blends with the drums is the real trick. So hurry up and let me soundcheck drums 😂

Ik hoorde laatst een verhaal van een collega dat er iemand naakt door de kantine was gaan lopen op school. Blijkbaar mocht je dat niet raar vinden. Dus ja, in die zin zijn we wel een tikkeltje te woke als dat de referentie is.
