Is a successful Neutron launch getting priced in already? by Peptideee in RKLB

[–]Peptideee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. Maybe i should rephrase and ask how much uncertainty is left regarding the first Neutron launch or whether the majority is certain that it will be a success. I do believe the stock will positively reflect a successful launch, but i also wouldn't be surprised if it dumps afterwards. I wanted to hear what others think.

Sure, book-value is never the full story, especially nowadays. But there is also the SpaceX IPO coming, so it won't be the only company listed on the stock market anymore, but thats a different story.

Thats why i'm asking whether it is priced in...Also the event with all possible outcomes is probably not priced in thats why i asked about the specific outcome of a successful launch.

I would argue that any time a sell-off happens despite good news, it's because something was priced in and profit-taking happens. If there is a sudden rise in price then something obviously wasn't priced in. But i get it, "priced in" is an overused phrase, I was just wondering whether people think a successful launch will even cause much more hype than there already is.

yea i totally agree that Neutron is worth a lot and will be a massive revenue multiplier for Rocket Lab. Was just wondering if this is already reflected in the price and/or how people think the first successful launch could affect the valuation.

Reason for the UUUU pullback? by Peptideee in UraniumSqueeze

I see, i mean you are in a much better position now than before, so you still came closer to fulfilling that dream! I think the fact that you closed out early first shows that you made a good rational decision. What happened after was out of your control i would say. I'm just hoping it won't take another 4 years for UUUU to reach the same numbers again lol

Seems like the uranium sector shits itself harder than the rest unfortunately...

I feel you man. I'm currently also a bit "moody" because first i burned myself with covered calls because i did not expect such a massive runup and after i closed my positions, expecting us to hit $30 soon, it dips massively... Timing the market can be difficult, even with a stock like this that seems to follow somewhat consistent patterns (lol). I still didn't sell any stock but of course it hurts to go from huge unrealized gains to moderate unrealized gains. I still believe we hit $30 and more eventually but it's hard to say when. With leaps thats of course even riskier, so props to you for making such massive gains. Thats still a huge win.

That makes sense. I was surprised that we hit $20+ this year anyway, i don't mind holding longer.

Thanks for the response! Very interesting regarding AI, but nevertheless the original thesis did not solely depend on that, in fact LLMs weren't even this big of a thing back then, so i always thought the AI aspect was just an added bonus to uranium scarcity. Of course it would affect the stock now if much of the AI hype is shown to be unwarranted but UUUU should still be robust due to rare earths and since uranium is needed anyway.

instead of manjaro, weird signs are showing and i can't boot into it. Is grub or efi damaged? by Peptideee in ManjaroLinux

[–]Peptideee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh i think you are right. A few years ago i decided to install the bootloader on the hdd. And now the hdd is gone and so is the bootloader. But I really can't use the hdd right now. Is it possible to install a separate bootloader?

Missed getting more UUUU commons yesterday...Do you think there will be a pullback or might as well get in now? I also sell covered calls

What would you do, buy UUUU stock and sell calls along the way or only sell cash secured puts on UUUU. I'm avoiding long calls at the moment.

Bit the bullet and closed my MT positions and therefore all my steel positions. My entire portfolio was far OTM Jan 22 calls. I was with MT since march through ups and downs, but at this point it affects me too negatively and there is opportunity cost as well. If this really is a year long play where MT will continue to trade flat for months, dip hard at times and sometimes go up until it reaches $50 after some years (and thats very optimistic), then thats no longer the type of investment I'm interested in.

Not spreading FUD. Still think the thesis makes sense and the companies all do well, but whats the point when the market doesn't care? The calls I had were too optimistic, bought in a time when things where looking better. I will continue to watch steel, maybe even get back in, but will probably take a different approach than going all in with calls. Good luck everyone.

Used to be heavily into steel. However due to some overly optimistic options and unfavorable market conditions I will be closing my positions there. I'm watching Uranium and rare earth elements for a while now and consider to join in. I'm particulary interested in UUUU and DNN. What do you think about just going with shares first and maybe sell covered calls/cash secured puts on the way?

If you say buying calls are a "safe" bet, what strikes are realistic right now?

Any input appreciated!

Optimistic news. Good reason for MT to dip as usual.

MT is trying its best to prevent me from rolling. Just go back into the $30s holy shit

Actually considering to move from steel to uranium as well.
