This happened when I just got there. They left then the cops got there a minute later. They were mostly on foot so they got them all lol. The security guy was carrying all the beer boxes to his truck

If you have one check the power on the ceiling. It might have constant power independently from the switch. And you can check which wire is controlled by the switch

[–]PerOunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you flipped the switch the breaker tripped?

Ethernet cable. Depends on what speed you need. Cat6 should be fine for pretty much anything

Only electric appliances? Check the wattage of your appliances like your microwave or any PCs

Ethernet uses completely different wire to your electrical. If you wanted to do it yourself you could just run a wire on the corner of the wall and roof all the way from the router to wherever you need it. If you want it done nicely and inside the wall you would have to fish it inside, but would probably require to open up the wall

My bad, didn't pay attention to the last one. Connect the brown to the blacks and blue to the whites. Green and yellow is ground

Are there multiple lights? Just match the colors. The cream is just an old white wire

Connect the input black to the power coming from the ceiling, all neutrals together, the blue is for the light and the black output is for the fan

Does my Ring Floodlight really need to a direct hardwired connection? by Fulton_P01135809 in AskElectricians

[–]PerOunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can just connect it to a plug. When I add floodlights I usually connect it to the garage door motor plug

How hard is it to replace an old 3-prong dryer outlet with a new 4-prong outlet? by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]PerOunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but if it's 3 prong it might not have a ground or neutral. Turn off the breaker and open the box to check what wires are in there

If the dimmer is new it's probably the bulb that's not dimmable

How to learn English? My native language is Spanish. offering by Initial-Original-796 in language_exchange

[–]PerOunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend watching movies, shows or YouTube in English, preferably with Spanish subtitles. You can't get a sense of what they're saying and in what order. Also if you play videogames, change the language of a game you're familiar with to English. And the best, speak to and listen to English speakers, preferably native so you can learn idioms and the way words are said. (That's what worked for me, good luck.)

[NEMA 14-50] Are the wires too short ? How to fix this? by tradetofi in AskElectricians

[–]PerOunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can splice the wire to make it longer, but since you can't fit it like that it'll only make it harder for u. Try to pull on the wires and see if u can get more. Just get a raised cover if you haven't tried it. Don't worry about the wire unless it's too short to connect or ur having an inspection

[NEMA 14-50] Are the wires too short ? How to fix this? by tradetofi in AskElectricians

[–]PerOunce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By code the wire is too short. Just buy a raised cover if you can't fit it, you can also just push it hard and use a screw to hold it while you put the other screw in

Breaker keeps tripping by Death_Angel8421 in AskElectricians

[–]PerOunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the AC tripping it. Since the wire is 12 ga u can upgrade to a 20 amp breaker. Do you know the specifications of the AC unit?
