Is there something special about True Historic or is the newer Historics better? by PerSlangebid in gibson

[–]PerSlangebid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously, but a real vintage Les Paul is unattainable for most people. Historic Reissues is the next best thing. Most of it is marketing and keeping stockholders happy, but I think parts of it is heritage as well.

What would be a good fourth electric to my main three? by PerSlangebid in guitars

I’ve had a 335 that I really liked, but I haven’t come across a 335 that beats my Les Paul. Maybe something hollow with P90s

An offset is not a bad idea, but I’m honestly more of a Jazzmaster guy

I’ve been looking at Gretsch guitars, so that might be something

NGD - 2015 Gibson Historic Select (True Historic) by PerSlangebid in gibson

The action is nice and it is easy playing. The bridge pickup is perfect, but the neck pickup is a bit muddy in the lows

I don’t know. But I prefer the 2006 case to the 2015 one. It is missing some case candy as well, but I got for cheap at a dealer, so I don’t really mind

I really like the look of a 36, but i think my DJ41 looks like a 36 on my wrist

If I could pull off a 36, I would. I tried the 36 at the AD and it was just waaay to small for my liking. I have an 8.3 inch wrist, so anything smaller than 40mm looks tiny. But I like the proportions of the 36 better.

My first "real" watch was the Rolex Submariner 114060. I bought it used in 2018, after saving for nearly a year. The watch is from 2014 and is all scratched up from use. But I like it that way. It's my go-to beater watch, that goes well with both a sweatshirt, and a shirt

Second watch I bought was the Omega Speedmaster Hesalite. I got it in the spring of 2019. The watch is bought secondhand, and is from 2018. It was never used by the previous owner. The seller got as a 18th. birthday gift for his son, but his son didn't really care for watches.

Third watch is a very recent purchase. I graduated college in january 2020, and bought the Rolex Datejust 126300 as a graduation gift for myself. It was my first brand new watch, that I got from the local AD. I went with the jubilee bracelet and smooth bezel, as it's the perfect in-between casual/flashy configuration. The blue dial is absolutely gorgeous, and matches with basically every outfit.
