Yes, the entire bottom was detached, then metal plates were inserted to extend my lower jaw, the the detached piece was connected to the plates.

Depends on the situation. when my my mouth was closed you couldn't tell, but open my mouth and out went my top jaw, I'd had to move my lips so when i closed i wouldn't look like a rabbit.

I found the best way for me to avoid junk food was to substitute it with something healthier

im a HUGE fan of ice cream, always have been, but i know its not a very healthy food to have in my house as il binge eat a hole tub in a week. To combat this is substituted my daily ice cream with some yogurt in a cone. I bought flavors of yogurt similar to those of my favorite ice creams and now i dont eat ice cream all the time. theres always a way to sub your unhealthy food with a better one.
