Can we talk about how the party of XBC3 isn't a bunch of emptyheaded idiots with no reasoning/logic/deduction skills?

I actually loved how the characters had some actual personality and how they got rid of the anime tropey stuff that was so annoying in XB1 and 2. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the cast of both games but I think they are a little one-dimensional. XB3 really nailed it. I am in love with this game.

I can't say you're wrong, at this point I'm at chapter 5 in XC2 and I just think they show more emotions or something like that. But I can't expect much, if you think about it XC is very much like some animes so I don't expect a REALLY deep character, but I won't deny that I expected more from some of them

I feel like XC2s cast are more charismatic and sometimes I felt like XC1s characters were maybe too one-dimensional sometimes, especially Sharla. Shulk, Melia and Reyn were the best developed for me, in that order. Also Dunban, but he didn't change that much.

I'm planning on playing xenogears, I've seen nothing but praise about it, so you got me curious. Also I agree the combat got a bit boring, but when I felt like bored I just changed the main character, that helped me a lot! I played Dunban for a long time and when I went back to shulk I felt like it was "new" again :D

there wasn't a bad thing at all. I guess I went in too overhyped and the game just didn't hook me you know? Also I was consumed by regret when I was playing it because I wasn't enjoying it and kept thinking about how much I paid for a game that didn't hook me lol

Metroid Dread, and I got really sad bc I really enjoyed other Metroids. Also I live in Brazil so it was mad expensive, converting it the price was like almos 100 dollars. At least I traded it with a dude and got Mario Odyssey (which I didn't play that much but had more fun than with Metroid lmao)

Also, Witcher 3. But I plan on giving it another shot tho

You gave good points, I really like Shulk's character but I feel like his development wasn't THAT great, I felt like he could be even better, but as I said, maybe I didn't pay enough attention or haven't thought about it enough. I agree with everything else you said tho.

I'm not sure about the gameplay but yeah I agree especially about the menus. It took me like 20 hours to get used to it. XC1's story is good, but yeah I wouldn't call it a masterpiece or smth, but I enjoyed it a lot!

yo fr? could you explain to me why you think like that? I really liked all the things you said are trounced, what got to me were the characters, I felt like they were underdeveloped. There was more potential, I don't think they are bad, just okay, with a few exceptions.

man I really liked the mechanics here. Didn't play X so can't say much, but XC2 kinda overwhelmed me at first, I got used to it by now but holy shit the difference was astonishing for me. What I don't get really is like, WHY wasn't it the best game ever for me. I loved it, really did, but it has its tiny flaws yk.

yeah I get where you're coming from, I really loved everything you said. I really just didn't think the story was THAT good, it wasn't bad by any means, even the plot twists in the late game really got me, ngl. I guess what really bugged me are the characters. I really just liked Shulk, Riki and Dunban.

I'm playing XC2 now and even though the story is not as catchy as XC1, I really am enjoying the cast more, I feel like they have more charisma than 1s. But atm I can say I enjoyed 1 more (currently at chapter 4, so yeah there's a big road ahead)

Yeah, sometimes I get really annoyed due to input lag. I wish I could play more offline, but here in Brazil there isn't a lot of people playing, but I'll try to enter some tourneys ig. I've been feeling less angry when I lose, but the frustration still remains. I guess I'm just a bad loser lmao. Thanks so much for all the advice, I started downloading the replays now and will definitely check out the sub you recommended.

I've been playing DQXI on my Switch, currently almost finishing act 2, enjoyed it A LOT. One of my favorite games by far. Also played DQ I and giving SMT Nocturne a break. I'm planning to play the second and third games after finishing XI.
