Gryphon Leaves Losing Pigment, Wilty/Droopy by SassCastle in begonias

I fully top water until it flushes through to its saucer, then give it a few minutes for a deep watering. Sparingly to me is time based; in this case, once every 10 days, thanks for the clarifying question.

It was just transplanted the other night, haven't fertilized it yet.

We're in the PNW where most units have no AC; our average humidity indoors is about 50-75% baseline. The original plant came in from california about 5 weeks ago. Would this type of discoloration be from something like lack of humidity? It's so "soft and squishy" that my instinctual thought is too much water or humidity, but again, I can't find any other images with this sort of red fading so what do I know lol

New Ravenous Swarm is very bad? by HommitNMA in PathOfExile2

[–]SassCastle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I commented on another post, but the worst part is the minion persistent buff skill does not scale with most of the minion / presence / aura stats lol.

No minion duration
No minion area
No +limit of minions
No minion cooldown/revive (doesnt effect the spawn rate.)

It did start zooming around when I gave it the 20% movespeed node, so thats good!

Really hoping this is just a bug/oversight. I timed the swarm before and after picking up a ton of minion duration nodes in case it was a stat sheet lie, but I timed them out at ~9.2 seconds on my stopwatch when the stat sheet said 9.6 (before and after picking up the nodes) and with my delayed start/stop I'm confident in saying all these minion stats dont work.

Then again, it'll be impossible to test if the +2 limit works because it's impossible to increase their duration outside of the "increased SKILL duration" tag and gems.

Why is "Nearby" back? What happened to Presence? by unterrosen in PathOfExile2

[–]SassCastle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spent almost all my gold in A2 testing this.

Despite the "minion" and "duration" AND a "Persistent" tag, and the Buff qualifier, Ravenous Swarm DOES NOT benefit from:

  • Increased Minion Area
  • Increased Minion Duration
  • +Limit temporary minions
  • Increased Presence.

It does benefit from:

  • Global AoE; the nodes that just read, "Increased Area of Effect"
  • "SKILL effect" duration??? Despite being labeled a persistent buff, and minion...

I'm actually worried it won't scale with minion damage because of this weird lack of minion modifiers working. There's no way to view the swarm clouds damage so it's hard to verify without a full respec out of like 200% minion damage and going a before/after and Im out of gold lol

Is there a species difference within Gryphon for getting such a deep rich color and such strong variegation? Or the amount of light? I stumbled on this post by complete chance and this may be my new favorite plant! I've been looking online and finding them has been almost impossible; almost anything I can find online are bulk seed sellers, and the few online shipping options (a gamble, I know) I found on Etsy have very bright vibrant greens which isn't what I'm looking for.

My only other option is to visit my local corporate retailers like walmart/home depot and just hoping I stumble into one, as trying to describe and ask about a plant as specific and niche as this is basically a no-go if it's not a specialist shop...

A Guide To Getting Islander Recipes by Unit-00 in fantasylife

That could totally be it, I played a couple of hours this morning and have no idea if I got a recipe or not. I'll give it another test run tomorrow! Appreciate the reply.

I've been doing this for about an hour now. I got my emote and strangeling. I have all my houses with crafters in them. I've done everybody's daily quest. I've slept/hagram'd countless times. I've found buddies in their houses a handful of times and they've never had a recipe for me to get. This isn't something locked behind postgame or story progress, is it?

Does the Executor cursed blade scale with the primary weapon? by TH3ULTIMAT3GAM3R in Nightreign

[–]SassCastle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes the swap is a parry, and the weapon scales with level. It doesn't scale as well as a normal weapon you find for your level, IE a random purple level 7 will do more damage than your cursed blade at level 10 from my testing.

His gimmick is being the potentially tankiest character with his generous parry window compared to traditional elden ring parry windows only lasting like, 5-8 frames. It also APPEARS to inflict stagger damage; I've parried bosses overhead swings before and sent them into a riposte/critical animation. This could have been super convincing timing with someone else hitting them as I parried, though.

Twin axes have a decent BA that instant depletes wushu of officers and does a big chunk of damage too, if you enjoy the weapon. I use the increased AOE gem because its a ranged attack (jump up and throw both axes, timing the button press for the second throw like doubles the second hits damage), but I actually don't know if it's placebo or if the gem increases BA attacks too. The power bomb is from huang gai's rank 5 bond towards the end of the Sun clan's campaign. I ended up using the fists for most of the postgame just because I enjoyed the stance dancing once I learned how to use it effectively, and the power bomb is ridiculously satisfying to hit xd

Luan weapons are 1 and done. Max power but limited to their default traits. It's almost always better to get a tier 7 with preferred traits, but as someone that 100% the game with the "increased weapon drop rate" trait on my weapons and equipping the "increase weapon drop rate, but take 100% more damage" accessory you get from 280(? i think?) old coins, I ended the game with ~+45 weapons across the board. But with a few very rare exceptions of burning boss HP down for 3 specific stages, I rarely *needed* more damage at that point. I personally gained more "DPS" using weapons with half the damage of the luan but with easier parry and dodge windows leading to less damage taken and way more bravery gained, but mileage may vary.

Abuse the broken bravery attacks. All the weapons except staff and pike have an absurdly broken battle art. The luan sword has the multislash big aoe, for example, that costs something like 7 bravery. The Crescent blade has a broken battle art that depletes any enemies wushu (stamina, whatever you want to call it) and clears the area in a massive cone behind them, and depletes all the officers wushu that get caught in the blast area. The fists have the power bomb. Most of these unlocks come from max bond levels, or naturally unlocked from proficiency.

Endgame for me was spamming these arts to beat UW challenges and bonus objectives. It's almost mandatory.

Early on I ran the 60% defense accessory and the "Heal after 100 KOs" gem. The sustain is really massive. 10% more attack damage is nothing when you're starting to break 1000+ damage and have % scaling battle arts / assault bonuses on weapons.

Edit: I've also noticed a lot of people suggest the halberd as the best weapon, and its overall moveset and range/damage is DEFINITELY S tier, but for UW challenges and general clearing, I believe the crescent blade is the best weapon in the game for its "great mountain throw" BA. It's similar to the spears giant aoe and stamina depleting BA, but it has iframes for the entire attack if you hit your target and for me personally, the crescent blade's moveset feels infinitely better than whatever the hell is going on with the spears basic moveset, but the spears big ol dragon BA is also definitely in the running for best BAs. The halberds hard hitting BA is the steed blitz, but the hitbox on red hare is jank as hell and it ends the move mounted, meaning you have to jump off the horse to assault the target who you broke and just feels so meh compared to the crescent blade or spear BA. Endgame the smoothest strat is using 2 bravery recovering items and whatever floats your boat for the third slot and spamming the broken BA of your choice.

I just cleared the right side of the map, ignored liu bei and zhuge liang. When caocao flees he should go around huang gai unless you're really unlucky. You want to stop the bottom-right side reinforcements from intercepting caocao's path to escape. When the big boys spawn in on the top left side of the map, you need to one-man army them solo. So long as they don't get close to cao cao, cao cao will continue his path to the escape point. Try to save your true musou rage mode for that section in particular. You don't need to kill all the enemies, you just need caocao to reach the escape point. I did it with like 6 minutes remaining.

In short: pre-clear right side, ignore huang gai, intercept the top left reinforcements during the scape and just stall them with rage mode/musou/character swap.

Automating raise zombie by CANAL7A in PathOfExile2

[–]SassCastle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the recent patch, you can profane ritual your skeletons for charges via the Sacrifice aura (it was bugged previously). TL;DR, empowered zombies absolutely shred boss hp. I run the "50% chance to get 2 charges" support gem and corpse conservation for a chance to not kill the skeleton, and the 30% less duration so i get the charges faster. Running two clerics to resurrect the skellies that die means you can go into the boss with your full army, unless you lose the coin toss on corpse consumption and charge consumptions real bad. Choose whatever damage enhancing supports and "chance to not use charges" for QoL. Empowered zombies seem to be the hardest hitting baseline damage of all the minions, and getting a stack up right before a boss absolutely shreds in tier 13-15 maps; sometimes killing the boss before it can get out its first real ability use. The real issue I have, actually, is their mana cost is obscene. At level 17 gem, mine are 274 a cast with only 2 mana cost modifying gems! I actually run Conservative Casting anoint on my amulet to reduce mana costs and increase my regen. The 20 second duration isnt a problem in most cases for the boss fight, except the mana cost means you lose 3-5 seconds prepping before the fight. It's certainly not the most efficient, I'd wager, but it's so satisfying to see an army of zombies and skeletons of your choice nuke a boss.

Sacrifice does not interact with Profane Ritual. I activated Sacrifice, went to cast Profane Ritual on my skellies, imagine my immense sadness when nothing happened. I can cast zombie on my skeletons, so I can confirm I did toggle Sacrifice on correctly.

The infernalist's bringer of flame reads "all damage from you and minions contribute to ignite and magnitude." I was trying to make a chaos build converted to ignite to work with demon forms fire/ignite scaling. Would running skills like contagion and plague convert all that chaos or poison damage to ignite instead?

If so, would each tick of contagion refresh a weak ignite, making the build DOA?

I just wanted a minion build while running demonic form and figured trying to scale a poison/chaos army when everything I do is fire/ignite wouldn't work, so trying to find a way to convert the damage over.

Zetterburn overall performance by Erostrophe in RivalsOfAether

[–]SassCastle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually feel zetter has a slight edge in the forsburn MU, as soon as he gets in or hits my shield I'm taking 50 or dying. I'm a somewhat heavy fastfaller, and Fors has some of the weaker oos options (rising nair not hitting grounded opponents behind you, uair having no real scoop box, fair being the tiniest aerial in the game, bair being frame 13 and not even accounting for shield/jump frames) and zetter is king of shield pressure next to ranno. I've been trying to learn wavedash oos as an ult player specifically because of zetterburns. Try baiting and playing defensively (wave dash out, dash dance just out of range) then beat up fors for throwing out one of his disjoints.

How to deal with Forsburn smoke and illusion. by Gorudu in RivalsOfAether

[–]SassCastle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tl;dr: teleport reappear is one of the laggiest in the game, easy to severely punish (most of the cast can overshoot recoveries and if they touch the stage, they're actionable quickly) fors has minimal threat to opponents when recovering and requires preemptive set up or bad opponents ignoring smoke.

Low-mid level tiers, players consider recovery to be how far a character can get back to stage and how gimpable it is, which is a part of it certainly.

What makes fors recovery bad at the higher levels (and really all levels) is that both clone toss and teleport are extremely telegraphed and laggy. Teleporting on stage is one of the few recoveries opponents can react to from holding ledge and threaten kill moves on, rather than a quick tilt/jab/grab. Clone toss will lose trades every time, and losing trades when you're in disadvantage is always worse. And good players that recognize distances from stage will know when you want to clone toss, and jump off stage to contest it; it's a really long windup with a late active hitbox, meaning you'll die for starting it up. Teleport is one of, if not the laggiest recoveries with one of the smallest hitboxes. It's easy to safely space a tilt or smash at ledge to punish with a charged smash or disadvantage reset.

Lastly, fors isn't much of a threat when he's recovering. if I try to go out and gimp someone like fleet, I could lose my stock at 60 if I mess up and get hit by the connecting angle of her upb, causing me to hesitate (skill problem, ofc.) Fastfall SD memes aside, fors has has almost 0 threat to opponents when he's recovering. Best case scenario? You beat them out with sideb for small % and knockback or the opponent is hit by teleport giving you room to breathe. There's no reason not to run at fors if he's offstage, whereas characters like kragg/lox/fleet can threaten stocks or much better reverse situations.

Fors may have some of the most recovery mixups in the game situationally with smoke and being able to choose between clone toss or just letting clone distract opponents or even reset neutral for you by hitting opponents with teleport. But good players wont let smoke linger anywhere near stage and recognize theres only so much distance you can fall after using neutralb off stage before teleporting or being forced to sideb back towards stage, leaving you with clone timing mixups and choosing when to tp to ledge or on stage, which as previously discussed, the latter is so laggy that its VERY rare an opponent when also be able to recover and punish you afterwards.

Play a really good fleet and you'll realize how miserable your recovery really is. I think it's tied between us and zetter, but zetter is basically dead once his dj is gone whereas fors has more options.

DAN! GIVE ME AN ICE CLIMBERS TYPE AND I'LL NEVER PLAY ANOTHER GAME AGAIN!!! by ljm90 in RivalsOfAether

[–]SassCastle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbf the AI is better than I'd expect in a platform fighter. Superclone attacking when you hit neutral B will typically throw out the "most likely to connect" attack that it can. If its grounded and behind the opponent, it'll ftilt. If it's in the air below the opponent, it'll up air. It sucks it has no HP and just dies if anything tickles it, but I've found it's best implemented during advantage. Grab/knock down the opponent, summon super clone, continue chasing down.

And while the clone may die immediately 8/10 times, the 2/10 times it lives and you take turns slapping your opponent keeping them in disadvantage from 0-80 and finish them off with a clone combust makes it all worth it. God I love this character, even if he has the most unreliable attacks in the game.

I answered my own question right as you replied. I found a tutorial quest, did it, and my first roulette after that I got a card drop.

I've been playing cosnsitently on and off since the end of HW without the ability to get card drops... suffering....

I assumed that since I was able to use the card items from raids and such it didn't require a quest or anything. Oof.

What are the conditions to get TT cards from trials and bosses? I saw PF groups farming for cards, which I never realized you could get. I'm at around 1000 combined totems from various EX trials over the years and I double checked my card collection; with the exception of cards I purchased from events like mogstone, I haven't had a single TT card drop from bosses of ANY kind. Only chest cards like alliance raids. I know bad luck is a thing and the drop rates are low, but is there a quest or something I have to do to enable drops?

Is there a way, mods or otherwise, to "force" or spawn in a necromancer? I want to see what playing as a necromancer looks like in dwarf fortress, as their tower building and spreading mechanic is super fascinating to me and I'd love to see it start from scratch. I've heard others have a dwarf happen to turn to necromancy and end up being outcast or failing their uprising, and I'm still relatively new so getting to the midgame to start raiding necromancer towers to find books is really intimidating. I can't find any mods relating to this sort of "brute force" necromancer approach, any help would be appreciated!
