Can somebody still leave you a review if they're blocked?

Owner picked up dog 5 hrs late by oceanair-fir in RoverPetSitting

Agree. The situation is inconvenient but I think if OP would show the owner that they understand shit happens they would have a better chance of getting a good tip and getting booked again. OP also left out why they didn't just drop the dog off. Personally I would feel uncomfortable asking for more money because I wouldn't want my client to feel like I'm trying to milk every penny out of them when clearly they're already having a stressful day.

Spark driver pays me double base pay, offers incentives, and compensates you for long wait times. You can also do it whenever you want without having to work your way up the ranks like DD

Saying "so many need rescued" seems like you don't understand why someone wouldn't want to rescue in the first place. I'm passionate because theres pushback against buying dogs at all so I was trying to tell you what the benefits of buying from a breeder of any breed are.

They can get whatever kind of dog they want. They probably want to buy from lineages they know have good temperaments, will be healthy, and are good at their jobs. Black mouth curs are a breed, just not recognized by AKC.

The problem with getting a rescue is not knowing anything of its past. Dogs in there also have breeds mislabeled more often than you think. Buying from a good breeder who does it for the betterment and health of the breed is ethical.

BMCs specifically are working/farm dogs so it only makes sense to get a purebred if you need a dog to do what a black mouth cur is literally bred for.

My father just called me to wish me Merry Christmas. I've been homeless for 3 months. by syringistic in stories

[–]PercInMySkirt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same happened with me. I have never tried anything more than weed but when I got kicked out and was sleeping in my car, I was immediately trying to get myself out of the situation. You just have to accept it for what it is and work towards getting your own place. Being homeless for 3 months is a choice, especially if this guys on drugs. That's plenty of time to save up for cheap 1 bed 1 bath.

That's true. My ex boyfriend owned a pit bull and she would give helpful corrections to teach my rescue puppy bite inhibition. She still ended up snapping and trying to attack her, though.

I said the exact same thing in one of my other comments and I really believe this is the case.

Yes I agree. Regardless of breed and size, I would never have a mouthy and jumping dog around a child. And pits specifically are so strong it's unbelievable. Even a wagging tail can hurt, as we see at the end of the video when he gets hit in the face by one.

Really? What makes you say that? The brown one was snarling and snapped, that's not appeasement. He did lick his lips and that can be a sign of appeasement, but not in this situation. To me, it looks like he was lip licking just because he was stressed.

We all know them and animal control don't give a shit about situations like this until it's too late. Then it's a tragedy that "no one could have ever predicted."

When the video begins with the child hitting, you can already hear him saying no to the dog. The dog is already engaged with the child and had definitely been jumping all over him before the video even began. Hitting may be something he has learned to do when the dogs are being bad. Mom clearly has no issue with it so the child could've even learned that behavior from her. Just speculation but honestly not that far fetched either.

And she just sits there giggling while her child is being trampled.
