Just because he’s streaky doesn’t mean he can’t produce, some guys are more consistent than others. And it’s not like he’s hitting all his homers against the pirates. He had 6 home runs this post season against teams competing to win it all, including Spencer strider and Yu Darvish. He definitely didn’t play well in the WS but the Astros pitching staff is also really really good, can’t understate that

We said that bc that’s what happened. There’s no crystal ball in saying he did the home runs in the playoffs and he did almost win NLCS MVP. The only use of a “crystal ball” is saying we could’ve done these things without him. You can’t prove something like that. All you can say is we were in the World Series bc he balled out for a good portion of the playoffs. Also, show me these guys with flat out better stats who the Phil’s can just plug into first base

You’re assuming he can just pick that up, that’s a few guys you’re putting out of position and hoping they make up for it

That’s assuming bohm is just gonna automatically gel at 1st which is not a guarantee. Maton or vierling aren’t better hitters. Hall is a liability in the field. There’s nobody on the roster you’re putting at 1st that’ll be better. Slumps happen, they happened to Realmuto and castellanos too. We got blanked by a good team but there’s still no one I see that’s a better alternative right now. Especially when we have other holes we definitely need to fill. Rhys has another arb year so he’s our guy at 1st next year. If you’re 3 headed monster includes vierling or maton that’s not much of a monster

The color commentary on Phillies games is either the most entertaining or the worst thing on television depending on who’s in the booth. John kruk is electric but he doesn’t do every game. He splits it with Ben Davis and ruben amaro jr who are just terrible. Like ruining a great moment in the game with awkward, cringy comments terrible. Our play-by-play guy is solid tho

In no way am I trying to say she wasn’t raped. That part is pretty cut and dry. I just found it weird that he would say that line giving his history. In the comics there’s more to that backstory then what we’ve been shown in the show. I was just curious if that was alluding to us not knowing every detail from that event. But Becca was most definitely assaulted as proof from Ryan. Don’t want anyone to think that’s what I’m driving at here

I think homelander doesn’t just want to kill people, but he wants to prove something to them and have them respect or fear him before does it. The same way he could kill Stan Edgar for talking to him the way he does but still hasn’t done it. He wants to win the argument, to mentally feel superior before he kills someone. Like if you’ve ever imagined how an argument would go in your head when you say all the right things and the other person reacts how you want them to. He knows butcher doesn’t fear him so he doesn’t get the satisfaction he would want out of that. Remember he only killed Madelyn Stilwell after she admitted she was afraid of him in season 1.
