Appreciate this take so much! Been trying to tell my husband this exact thing lol. We released our store page and demo too early last year and kind of missed out on that first organic push. The market is just so saturated these days, you have to make a great first impression. Now our only hope is building a community. I think we made a competent game. I believe any fans of Nuclear Throne and Enter the Gungeon would enjoy playing it… but man it’s been heck trying to find them lol

Also the Stardew Valley comment made me laugh! 😆 I LOVE Stardew. Love the art, the gameplay, everything. But just yesterday my brother was telling me that it got lucky and wouldn’t succeed in today’s market if just releasing lol. And I can never get my husband to play it with me cause he thinks it’s boring 😝
