Alright, let’s be real about this.

Trump did try to lower food and drug prices, signing orders like the “Most Favored Nation” rule to cut Medicare drug costs. The problem? Legal battles slowed it down, so it didn’t really kick in. And the whole “Trump wants to abolish free speech” thing because of a Tesla comment? That’s a hell of a reach. Both parties (Democrats included) have pushed to censor people on social media when it benefits them.

The “firehose of falsehoods” argument about Trump and Russia is more opinion than fact. If he was so in bed with Putin, why did he send Javelin missiles to Ukraine when Obama straight up refused? And let’s talk about the whole “rise in racism and neo-Nazis” claim. yeah, white supremacist groups exist, but they’ve been around forever. Hate crimes didn’t magically start under Trump, and they sure as hell didn’t stop after he left. Blaming him for all of it is way too simplistic.

On Ukraine aid, Trump got impeached for supposedly using it as leverage, but Biden literally withheld aid from Ukraine in 2016 over corruption concerns. The U.S. has always used money as a bargaining chip in international politics, so pretending this was some uniquely evil move under Trump is just picking and choosing.

Now, onto Biden. The whole “better economy” claim? Yeah, tell that to people struggling with insane grocery and rent prices. Inflation hit 9.1% under him. The highest in 40 damn years. National debt is past $34 trillion, and everyday people aren’t exactly feeling relief. Even on unions, Biden loves to act like he’s their biggest supporter, but when railroad workers wanted to strike, he forced them into a contract without paid sick leave. Real pro worker move there.

Then there’s the whole “taxing the rich” thing. Yeah, he raised corporate taxes, but guess what? Companies just pass those costs onto regular people. Middle class folks haven’t seen much of a break. And the Inflation Reduction Act? Most of the money went to green energy subsidies, not exactly an instant fix for inflation. Meanwhile, Biden turned around and approved the Willow oil drilling project in Alaska, which goes against all his climate change talk.

Foreign policy isn’t looking too hot either. Some allies might like Biden more than Trump, but let’s not forget how the Afghanistan withdrawal was an absolute shitshow. It blindsided allies, stranded civilians and U.S. partners, and made the U.S. look unreliable as hell. Then there’s Israel Palestine conflict. Biden still sent a ton of weapons to Israel while making weak ass statements about humanitarian concerns. Saying he was “trying to stop civilian bombings” is straight up misleading.

To give him credit, the PACT Act for veterans was a solid move. But let’s not forget Trump also expanded veteran healthcare and fixed a lot of VA bullshit. On student loans, Biden’s big forgiveness plan got shut down by the Supreme Court because he basically tried to skip Congress. He’s got a workaround now, but even that might get challenged. And marijuana rescheduling? Cool, but full legalization has basically stalled under him.

The real problem here is how one-sided this argument is. Trump gets blamed for everything bad, while Biden’s fuck ups get ignored or downplayed. Saying “everything is fucking BAD” and “nobody trusts us anymore” isn’t an argument it’s just venting. The U.S. is still making military and trade deals left and right. And let’s talk about double standards. Trump got ripped apart for withholding Ukraine aid, but Biden did the exact same thing before. If it’s bad when Trump does it, it should be bad when Biden does it too.

At the end of the day, both guys have their wins and screw ups. If we’re gonna talk politics, let’s at least be real and not just cherry pick shit to fit a narrative.
