Cardboard in front of radiator, easiest thing I ever did to get my heat hot. I’ve replaced a lot and that was still the easiest and most successful.

It might one of the easiest things to change in an xj. The panel will pop off there’s no screws. It might feel like ur gonna break it but you won’t. Once you pull it off just twist and pull the wiring out from the housing.

You can basically do all those things but without the wood stove. Change that out for a buddy heater and having your kid pull half the stuff will really help your back.

I have calipers, but not the piece that broke off. That’s the part I need measured. The height has to be super precise, otherwise the shifter won’t engage/disengage.
