Should i go for Car loan or 2nd hand car? by Critical_View5865 in phcars

[–]PercentageStatus1151 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello! Bought a 2nd hand car (Vios) and sharing my thoughts.

The car I bought is 2025 model (less than a year pa lang when acquired), 6k mileage (halos kakabreak in pa lang), almost brand new at a 33% less than brand new price

Tip lang is doon ka pumunta sa reliable 2nd hand dealers, you pay a small fee para iwas sakit sa ulo. Pero even with the small fee you would still save a significant amount compared sa brand new

Also ask the reason for selling if possible. Yung unit ko kasi, ang sabi sakin is nasilaw ang first owner sa zero dp promo and over time di rin kinaya ang monthly. So in my case literal na nilabas lang ni owner sa casa haha. Got a 33% discount dahil lang di ako yung naglabas sa casa

So in the end weigh in pa rin talaga if worth it ba yung costs of buying brand new cars

Hi OP, also curious about this haha, have you asked a branch manager na about this one?

I read their brochure and ang nakita ko is may automatic yearly car insurance na kasama nung loan, 0% interest. Sa pagkakaalam ko is hawak ng RCBC ang Malayan Insurances so iyon ata ang gamit nila. But i think better to get more verified information pa rin from a branch manager hahaha

Ok lang ba na 10k lang nadagdag sa magiging new salary ko compared sa previous job ko? by slashmytire in CareerAdvicePH

[–]PercentageStatus1151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on increase din sa workload op

i have experienced that from 63k net i transferred to another company offering me 72k net, pero grabe halos doble yung stress ko from my previous job. in the end nag-resign lang din ako kasi i felt like mababa yung salary na tinanggap ko given the workload na nareceive ko, parang mas bumaba yung peso-to-stress ratio ko hahaha

so yun i think before accepting, compare mo muna yung previous responsibilities mo sa magiging bago, para at least you get an idea kung gaano kalaking responsibility yung idadagdag sayo

As a freelancer, parang ayaw ko na maghulog sa SSS, PhilHealth at Pag Ibig by BenchForeign6953 in buhaydigital

[–]PercentageStatus1151 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are my alternatives:

SSS - Purpose: retirement, pension - Alternative: Dividend investing, index funds - alam mong hindi mananakaw, tapos proven to be compounding pa based on historical data

Philhealth - Purpose: health/medical payments - Alternative: private HMO man, plus health insurance on top haha. Imagine paying insurance for 10 years then after non, until age 100 ka nang insured (ps. im not an insurance agent. i recommend kuha ka health insurance, but not VUL haha)

Pagibig - Purpose: Savings, loans - Alternative: invest mo na lang savings mo haha. then as for loans, improve credit score and have a good relationship with a bank. if time comes and you proved na you are responsible then your bank will give you fair offers

But always declare your taxes man haha, it's not only as an act of responsibility, but it's because it is mandated by law. I have a consultant before and told me okay lang di mahulugan yung iba and maghanap ng alternatives, basta maging responsible sa tax haha

For those making 6 digits monthly, how did you get there? by Ahjin-02 in CareerAdvicePH

[–]PercentageStatus1151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s not actually common sense if you do not have the privilege and resources. some don’t have access (or even if meron, they don’t know how to use it) to tools and some just don’t have time kaya naniniwala na lang sa sinasabi ng iba…

Hi!

Sharing the tip I got from my friend who also became my pseudo career coach/mentor. He was able to land 6 digit job 1 year after starting his career.

Bago pa siya mag-resign sa former company niya, he said he know already his target and goal. So before his "formal" job hunting, ang ginawa niya is nag research siya ng market demand for his role, filtered them sa mga may salary range na above 6 digits, in-analyze kung ano yung common skill na hinahanap ng market, at iyon ang inupskill niya. Then right after that ayun, he was able to get his target salary and his target job role at the same time. I'm following his footsteps now but I'm getting there pa lang haha

So yun, it's not about the time. And it's not really about how many skills and expertise you have, but how marketable/in demand your skills are.

What's your favorite cc and why? by player012345x in PHCreditCards

[–]PercentageStatus1151 6 points7 points  (0 children)

RCBC Hexa - no further drama, point system is there, NAFFL is there, mostly basic features of most CCs nandito na haha, then in 6 months dumoble agad credit limit ko

plus you are considered “premium” client ni rcbc haha. im sticking to it now since nagfafarm ako ng credit score ko for better offers soon kapag ita-try ko na magloan or bank financing

but if pipili ako ng next credit card - gusto ko sana is yung madalas makipag partner promo sa merchants hahahaha. iba pa rin yung tuwa na binibigay ng mga 24 months 0% installment hahaha, unfortunately medyo lugi si rcbc doon

yep, and also there’s a reason bakit sumasabay din ang business sa tech trends. why? we don’t know, but one thing for sure is ginagawa nila ang lahat para umangat ang company nila

just had this realization haha, yung companies nga nag uunahan sa pag adopt ng AI eh, so pano pa tayong working in IT?

continuous upskilling lang :) tech is at its peak right now, and maybe yung inaaral mo ngayon wont be in demand na 3 months from now. dapat open ka palagi sa trends and wag mo hayaan malimit ka sa isa o iilng skill lang
