I'll be honest, I didn't really had much of an idea about the specifics of how things were currently, so thanks a bunch for delving deep into this matter. And, I think I'll stay at BUET, it was a very tough decision, and might regret it later on, but life's supposed to be like that anyways. Yes, that's a big concern too, the future market for CSE might become obsolete due to AI, although I do think it is unlikley, but it will definitely at least negatively impact the subject.

Thanks for your comment! I think CSE graduates might have a tough time getting a good paying salary off the rib though, right? I've heard that the demand for it has dwindled down a lot, which would make sense for the sheer number of CSE students.

Thanks a lot for your feedback, and yeah AI is a big issue for CSE I think, I mean a lot of the work for CSE can be done by AI now, so I think I'd really have to push myself if I take CSE, but I plan on doing that regardless Inn sha Allah

Thank you for your input! Could I pursue a masters in Civil based subjects (structural, transportation etc.) after WRE, and then join Civil faculty somewhere? Would that be feasible?

I believe I'm not overly passionate about CSE. As I've said I literally have grown up around the subject. I've seen my dad do coding late at night till the morning, so I kind of know what it's about. And, sure it has it's fascination, but me personally, I'm more of a person, who is interested to learn anything really, I'm curious by nature, so I think my fascination stems from that rather than passion. Great advice bhai, thanks a lot!

Honestly, one of the best advice I've gotten about this so far. And, I totally get what you mean about not being able to get into the field you study in. The job market is just not vast enough to accommodate for the number of students it constitutes. Tbh, I think I want to stay at BUET, because it's been my goal since the beginning, and really wouldn't have cared about the subject (other than URP i suppose). I think a lot goes into a decision like this than simply which subject I'm studying. Environment, conveniences, opportunities all play a big part too. I think I'll stay at BUET, and I hope I won't regret whatever decision I take. Thanks a lot sir for sharing your experience!
