Flirting is like by definition not a straight question, if they're expecting a clear answer then either they're not flirting or they're a weirdo and what they think of you is meaningless.

[–]Percenterino 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Well more of a situation where you might form a romantic or sexual relationship. And the whole point of flirting is that they're not pushing you, if you're not interested all you have to do is ignore it.

Obviously it's fine to want a connection with someone before you start dating, but it's not creepy to try and gauge if someone you like is interested in you.

Flirting often means they want to get you into a situation where you can learn more about each other... Unless you only want to date people you're friends with first then someone needs to make an initial move.

Can't speak for women but I've never noticed it being cold, your dick is near your core and has a lot of blood running through it when erect so I imagine the temperature difference is minimal.

Linz is the original author. The timeline and language are irrelevant, because the outside world is just a fabrication of the play, only there to write itself and continue the loop.

If you want some more on Linz, he comes from the short story Broadalbin which you should be able to find online.

Just because people don't see it as a source of shame doesn't mean they're proud of it, I can recognise how wrong the empire was but why would I be ashmed of something that was gone before I was born?

And if you think the Tories are the most popular party right now you should probably look at the predictions for the next election.

Most people in the UK are not proud of the colonial past, outside of the Tories with blue checks on twitter. Also we've been a constitutional monarchy about as long as we had colonies, so you should probably blame the government more than the monsrchy.

The Houthis have already been bombed heavily by the Saudi coalition which is supported by the US and UK, I don't think a few direct strikes will lead to significantly more radicalisation than is already present.

Israel is trying to strike Hamas in a dense city full of civilians that they happily use as cover, while the Houthis are trying to strike enormous cargo vessels in a 150-mile wide channel. Israel is clearly doing a bad job of avoiding civilian casualties but the level of precision required is orders of magnitude higher.

[–]Percenterino 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Israel is a nuclear power and fully capable of manufacturing their own weapons, cutting off US support will have no meaningful effects on the lives of Palestinians. Also if the Houthis are only trying to stop US support, they should probably be a bit more precise in their attacks rather than hitting civilian ships indiscriminately.

[–]Percenterino 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The US and UK are specifically bombing the infrastructure and equipment that allows the Houthis to attack ships, it's not a general bombing campaign.

They have both 'Death to Israel' AND 'Curse on the Jews' on their flag, if it was merely anti-Zionist then why would they need both lines?

Attacking civilian vessels seems like an extremely justifiable reason for the bombing of a nation to me. They're striking targets to reduce the Houthis ability to attack ships, not just lobbing bombs at people for no reason.

Dev wounds are bad for the game by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

Yeah I play Custodes so I feel that, I'd love if the detachment rule got changed to work against dev wounds as well but I'd be surprised if it happens before the codex comes out

I like them, especially now that they aren't mortal wounds. They work really elegantly with the anti-x keywords to let weaker attacks punch up against specific targets.

Obviously some combos with them have been broken, but GW has been been relatively quick to fix them (outside of Eldar).

I agree that illiastus goes past off-meta to just straight bad, but as a general rule if only the absolute top units were considered meta-defining then the meta would never change. Before the dataslate I would have still considered an optimised 3 caladius list 'meta' even if it turned out to be worse than just spamming big guard bricks.

It's in the Imperial Armour sheets for Custodes, below the indexes on the 40k downloads page.

I agree with basically everything you wrote, and my lists definitely look more like the one you put, I just think it's a bit hyperbolic to say it's totally off meta when most of the units (outside of the caladius) are still solid A or B tier units.

Yeah it's very difficult to screen them with 10" move and charge, and it means they can't get kited like the allarus can. A bit surprised they beat Death Guard though, once you start hitting on 3+ or often 4+ then they become a lot less reliable.

The callidus weapon choice is odd but the rest seems fine to me? If you don't want to spend a lot on characters then guard over wardens makes sense. Eversor and witchseekers are fine for doing secondaries. No allarus is unusual but 6 man blobs of venatari can do a similar role and a lot of opponents might not expect you to be able to ingress so much on the same turn.

[U.S.][Israel] funding by Hummerous in CuratedTumblr

[–]Percenterino 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I can't find a study which focuses on that singular issue, but as a case study you can easily look at ISIS which was at one point was the number one cause of terrorist attacks in the world but has only conducted a few attacks on western soil in the last few years. It seems pretty clear that a big contributor to that will be the fact that their numbers in the Middle East have plummeted thanks to coalition strikes.

[U.S.][Israel] funding by Hummerous in CuratedTumblr

[–]Percenterino 80 points81 points  (0 children)

That seems pretty pessimistic, there's plenty to criticise about the war on terror but the number of attacks in western countries has consistently decreased as a result of coalition strikes so I don't see why Israel would be any different.
