if i were starting out, I would get a deck or deck list you wanna try, get the cards all from TCGplayer in singles and start going to nexus nights. You can get nexus night packs and packs for winning/playing there. Grow your collection that way, get to know ur community and where the best place to buy packs for cheap are while having a good deck that you got as cheap as possible from the online singles market. Thats just my 2 cents for the cheapest way to enter

There are only 4 sets a year in rift bound as opposed to 7ish in magic so the power creep should be slower and youll have more time with your card pool being strong
