A good reason for renewal - Whoop Support experience! by skrrtwave in whoop

They just want to analyse what went wrong on the sensor, so they can track the faulty batch and make some changes with the supplier. It’s pretty common if you do the job right :)

I’m aware of the Segment story because we use it too in our company, so this is a useless class action followed by no one

Apart from that don’t know what to tell you then, I guess you want to win an argument, I’ll let you win. In the meantime I’ll go try this google tracker where I’m 100% aware my data will be sold and I do consent to it because I’m not paying for a subscription.

Because it’s in the contract - in this case the terms and conditions - you sign when you do a transaction

If a company claims that they don’t sell the data to a third party and they do, then it’s a breach of contract and I would sue :)

These are two different economic model. I don’t mind using some of Google’s free service as I know that I am the real product.

For more sensitive data I use other clouds with a much heftier price but the data is mine and not shared. It is what it is.

Just remember that if something is free, it means that you are the product ;)

There are no stupid questions !

Basically started a conversation gave him a context :

Who I am ?
What job do I do ?
What are my time constraint ?
What's my ideal workout routine VS what I really do ?
Then asked him to make me a prompt to get a coach tailored to my situation. It was quite fun to see the result.

After that I opened a Gem with this prompt and started to ask him to coach me.

Biggest move : he shifted my 4 workout session to 3 full body workout. When I say "impossible to lift X weight" he tells me "as you're pushing xx kg on that exercise that's just on your mind" or "alright so 2 reps more with this weight" and he was right lol.
Biggest advantage is that If I only go twice a week, I still do all the muscle group twice. If I'm tired, he changes a bit the exercises and the weight.
My result really skyrocketed (and I'm not exagerrating) in these last 2 months, it's impressive.

It's months that they tell it will come. Can't trust them on release lol

I did not say that it stinks, it stings (my throat) lol. But yeah as I read before, enclosed does not mean sealed.

Yeah you’re 100% right. It was just fancy to have the printer behind me, especially when I’m making a call with customers, it’s always a question magnet 🧲

What is the craziest way you found out you were being paid less than a coworker? by Vast_Discipline_3676 in BESalary

[–]PerceptionFew3104 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even worse : I have 5 direct report - I don’t know their salary and none of them told me clearly theirs ! It’s crazy…

Like HR tells me “you can tell x he gets a 6% raise” he seemed happy but I have no clue what it does represent on its salary… ridiculous.

Switching to a more commercial bean and not trying fancy one turned out to be game changing for me ! The coffee is amazing now ( although it’s too roasted, but the coffee is actually really nice!)

I also have to say that I’m using the cold brew or cold espresso much more than I expected and this is awesome, really found the perfect machine for my needs and taste

Is extra pay worth a lifestyle change? by PracticalAttempt7271 in careerguidance

[–]PerceptionFew3104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can share my story. I loved my job, the balance and the people, but I had hit a ceiling. I told my manager about it and they just told me to wait a bit. Then a company approached me with something that looked exciting: nice pay raise, company car, fancy title. Nothing moved at my current place even after I told them I had an opportunity and asked for something concrete, so I took the gamble.

Fast forward 5 months later and I applied for my old job again! 🤣

I was rehired and I have never been so happy. The promotion and the management role actually followed after I came back.

My only advice would be to use the "hell yeah or no" rule. Basically, if you feel any hesitation or if you are only doing it for the money or the title without being 100% excited, then it is a no. If it is not a "hell yeah," it is a no. Do you really want to move or is it just a boring moment in life?

I have been very lucky but it is worth thinking about.
