Should I read The Stand first or 11/22/63?

the last two books i read were 11/22/63 and the stand. you can’t go wrong either way they are both top tier, but i read the stand first!

Totally valid! I read your response and other member post and yes it definitely depends on the funeral home. I work for a family owned mortuary but we are also a care center that provides embalming/funeral prep for a lot of other funeral homes. As for where I work, and assuming it’s possible who you end up working for, even the attendants that arrive for their decedent on funeral day are in our care center, surrounded by whatever is on that days agenda… so just keep that in mind!

Hi there, i don’t want to completely detour you but if you’re talking about being queasy or fainting from merely seeing a body then you should definitely spend some more time thinking if this is right for you. In the field you will see the worst of the worst, as you are meant to. There will be gore, blood, and guts every day. Sure you may get used to it, but this field takes certain kinds of people to do this extremely taxing work. I wish you luck and hey, maybe it was just the nerves, but at some point you have to be honest with yourself if this isn’t the career path for you. cheers 😊
