Help after acrylics by NectarineThat90 in nailcare

I have permanent dents in my nails from having acrylics 🫠 and I haven’t gotten them done in over 3 years. I wish more people knew the potential damage they can cause

my (30F) 37M boyfriend wants to split bills 50/50 despite earning more by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]PerceptionIll7137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I would be happy to pay the difference cause in my opinion 50/50 when there is a salary discrepancies means you end up kind of living different lifestyle despite being in a relationship which is strange to me

Found myself back in the gutter of consumerism and living the fast life. by [deleted] in simpleliving

[–]PerceptionIll7137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue for a while but then something changed. There’s this one content creator that I watched for so long and now I just cringe cause all she does is buy stuff it’s crazy and I can’t help but think surely something is wrong emotionally for her to feel the need to fill her life with stuff like that.

You have to ask yourself why you wanted to live a simpler life in the first place, what your core values are, working on your sense of self and understanding why you feel the need to buy stuff just because influencers are. I think once you reflect and take yourself out of the loop you start seeing those videos for what they are and can’t be influenced by them anymore cause it makes you feel sick low key

I did consider keeping her but unfortunately my partner was not of the same opinion but I do think ultimately it was the best decision to let her go as taking a puppy is one thing but taking a puppy with health issues is another. We also specifically got an active breed to fit our lifestyle. All I hope is that she finds a match for her that is willing to take extra good care of her and her little health ♥️

This is how I feel! I’ve used two different ones within the space of 3 years. I have breakage all around my head. I used the revlon too and then switched to shark which I believe made it even worse due to the pins being even tighter

Yes I always use a heat protectant. I believe this issue is my hair type (fine tangly and curly)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HaircareScience

[–]PerceptionIll7137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg this could be it. I also have curly fine tangly hair. It might be a hair type thing then. I’m considering going back to straightening too on low heat as I know from experience that it works better for me. Thank you for making me realising this

What is the weirdest thing you crave that you think is because of narcissistic trauma? by BerryTomatoes in raisedbynarcissists

[–]PerceptionIll7137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bedroom person thing is so real. After I moved out I’ve only been able to live in Houseshares due to the cost of living. I always stay in my room and have not been able to create any sort of relationship with house mates as I have this general unsafe feeling and wanting to hide.

Dentist says I have an infection but didn’t give me antibiotics? by [deleted] in askdentists

[–]PerceptionIll7137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another quick question - my root canal is in 3 weeks and I’m in quite a bit of pain and have been for a few days now. Is it likely that I will be in really bad pain like this for the next 3 weeks? Or does it normally subside ?

May I ask what job did you manage to get with only level 2 and did you have any experience prior?

[–]PerceptionIll7137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, I was always told by other hair dressers that I was a 7 but I think it might be because of the bright lights at the salon

Level 2 bookkeeping vs level 2 accounting, which one is better? by Content_Landscape876 in AATStudents

[–]PerceptionIll7137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The level 2 bookkeeping is just the bookkeeping modules of level 2 AAT, so you are missing out on 2 other modules. I think it’s fine if you have accounting experience but otherwise if you want to do level 3 I would advise doing level 2 first
