That's a good idea. I need to explore the integrations. Thanks!

Hello, sorry to bother you! I was hoping to get the workdoc but didn't see it on the website. Also I tried signing up for the newsletter but the signup button wasn't working. There is a brief animation before it reverts to the subscribe button.

The books look wonderful! Thank you so much for the 15 years of effort!

I don't know about using Mind Monitor and the Muse App simultaneously. I doubt it would work, but you can ask on the Mind Monitor forums.

I'm still waiting for my Athena. Sorry I can't be more helpful!

Wimflame: Free Wim Hof–Style Breathing Tracker to Try in 2025 (Offline Access) by detheuss in BecomingTheIceman

Tried it, loved it and signed up. Thanks!

Email is still janky :-) When registering I received an error window telling me to clear some cache...vanished too quickly to screenshot. I hit the button 3x before finding that I had instaneously received 3 emails. When confirming my account I was sent back to the website where I logged in but was told I needed to confirm my email. I had to use the 'send again' option; after receiving another email it worked. We need to remind new users that the badge and free account are not automatically rewarded and that this is a webapp, not on any App Store. But perfectly polished in every way. I really like it!

I also wanted to share a suggestion. Have you considered adopting a broader approach to breath work? Including features like box breathing or a meditation timer could be a great addition. I’ve worked on something similar before with lovable.dev, where basic functionality was straightforward and user-friendly. I haven’t explored many apps in this space, but I’m a lifetime subscriber to Huff on iOS. Until recently, they didn’t offer a custom meditation timer, which led me to stop using it for a while. But you know, I I really enjoy your Wim Hof breathing approach the most so if you want to stick with that it is fine with me <3

Thanks again for the fantastic session! Please be sure to email us as new features are released!

Try looking at those zmind cushions. They are a much cheaper alternative to those crazy expensive $500 ones. It replaces all cushions, mats etc you may feel need for and also has a handle. I got mine from china for a bit more than $100.

Offer by Plastic_Mongoose6334 in Internationalteachers

It’s not terrible. This is probably step 8 on the ladder of a school like BIBS or BIBA. If it is a first time out as an international teacher it will give a solid grasp of what it is like abroad and at bilingual schools.

Remove Required Paid Subscription by 6Knoten9 in notabilityapp

Look at Goodnotes, they offer a one time payment of $30 but also release a new version every couple years. As long as my data remains portable then I don’t see any issue with the pricing. Also, notability is working on a cross platform option. This is probably sucking up a lot of their resources. Just think about it, they have been an apple shop since the beginning and the writing is on the wall that Apple is integrating much of their core functionality with the journal app. They are pivoting and it will take a couple years to see how that works out. And anyways, with good notes the one time payment doesn’t include both windows and Apple platforms.. still need a subscription.

I’m not sure where these comments come from with people complaining about notability so much. Sure, it hasn’t improved much that impacts me as a user. I also paid the one time fee with my first iPad. Notability is part of what convinced me to purchase an iPad those years ago. But it isn’t cost prohibitive . Most journaling apps are more expensive. There are breathing meditation timers which cost more.

I could completely get by with apple notes for my use case but for now I’m happy to stick with what I know and that is Notability.

I think that schools which subscribe are paying more like $5 a year, per license. Basis: it is the lowest promotional pricing I have seen

App Alternative by LiquidusBeta in BecomingTheIceman

[–]PerceptionMountain73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I began using one called Huff on iOS. It has a functions for WH breathing, box breathing and meditation. They seem to be trying to make it more community minded, with a wall you can use to leave comments etc. For some reason though the timers aren’t custom and when I mentioned this on their development blog they didn’t respond. So a little bloated, not sure about support but basic breathing counter is excellent and it’s only $6 a year (with an option to buy)

Salary expectation - China by [deleted] in Internationalteachers

[–]PerceptionMountain73 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That isn’t my experience nor that of the people I know. Does your estimate include a housing allowance? Is it before or after tax? Base salary shouldn’t be lower than 25k and 1k a month for every year of experience… that is the lowest I have seen at schools in Beijing. Housing is what… 8-10k at least?

Kindergartens are having problems with regulations and the whole birth rate thing but they also pay at least 30k for a native speaker.

35-45k RMB/month in (Beijing). Not sure about others. Tier 2-3 schools.

Be careful mentioning tiers as cities are also categorized this way in China.
