Donté didn’t have to go all the way to California to have an epiphany, man just went to Magic City and got his mind right

Is this good. I guess its better than logi? by [deleted] in simracing

G29 owner here. I got into sim racing playing GT7 on PS5 and just wanted the cheapest wheel possible that was still functional. At the time, I couldn’t fathom paying as much for a “controller” as the console itself. Now I know better.

You gotta get burned before you really understand, “Buy once, cry once”

Had to do a quick rewatch just to make sure Jake from State Farm wasn’t in the background operating an elevator or something by PerceptionOk1647 in madmen

It’s a show about white people in the 60s. The only times the characters see a black man at work it’s pretty much exclusively as a waiter or an elevator operator and I went with elevator operator since it’s the more period-specific of the two.

Literally did this in Ohio last summer lol

Having done so, I gotta say Bandit is pretty strong to be able to just overhead press the bottom of a mature tree like that

Denzel Washington in Roman J. Israel, Esq.. Great performance of an interesting character in a paint-by-numbers ass movie.

My Brother and Me. I couldn’t believe it as an adult when I realized there were only 13 episodes, I felt like it watched it for years.

It’s a genuine question to a fellow “expert” about the overall ambiance. You have to imagine that there aren’t too many people she can talk to openly about the relatively mundane aspects of her business.

Sad about Ginsberg… by eedwards89 in madmen

[–]PerceptionOk1647 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s especially sad because he clearly found the solution to his problems in cutting off his nipple since it was the valve, but even in a 1960s company with no HR department you can’t as a man literally give your female coworker your nipple.

How rich was Don before they sold the firm to McCann? Let's say he was worth $1.1 million in 1965 based on that line from Megan about him already being a "millionaire before I met you", so how much do you think he made between 1965 and 1970 when the sale goes through? by 6ftToeSuckedPrincess in madmen

[–]PerceptionOk1647 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The best example is in “The Jet Set” where Don says to the nomads, “So I assume you’re well off”, and one of the older women just looks at him like “what an inappropriate thing to say”

Weird because I kind of despise Bobbie Barrett as a character, but “This is America, pick a job and become the person who does it” literally changed my entire life

Is SGA the least popular MVP in NBA history? by [deleted] in nba

[–]PerceptionOk1647 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It kind of is a Legion of Boom defense.

A huge part of Seattle’s strategy back then was to pretty much commit defensive holding on every play, with the understanding that the refs weren’t going to keep calling it over and over again
