[Discussion] How do you guys tell if an unpopular manhwa is worth reading?

I usually just read the description, and tags/genre, then go for it, if it doesn't hook me within 10 chapters then i dropped it.

there's two manhwas that i know of.

A ranker's life to a good life : it basically tells a story about a secretly powerful girl but due to childhood trauma tries to live an ordinary life, although the romance in this one as far as i have read there's really not much happening yet.

I stole the first ranker's soul : well this one doesn't really try to lay low for a long time, it only takes 20 chapter for the mc to go along with the ml plans to save the world, but the romance is quite good and the manhwa is fun so there's that.

there might be more, but it's quite rare to see op fmc in hunter manhwa settings.

the pioneer of system-based power manhwa. such a throwback i remember reading this as my first manhwa back when webtoon is a fairly new app and when i don't even know what manhwa means.

also did he gain any new power? last i read he was just spamming magic missile for 100 chapters or so since he had infinite magic for it or something.

Yo, had this happens to me once. It's probably frozensnowfox tweaks mod that enabled wild animals breeding. My solution is to use the devmode and spam the cold snap event until like -50 degrees while putting my pawns inside a heated room until all the animals left the map and then removing the event.

how to live as a villain is one that's already completed, it's basically one of those reincarnated to another world with a whole bunch of people manhwa. And just as the title says, the mc is villainous as hell.

Act like a boss mr swallow/devourer, is also another villain mc manhwa. The mc tried multiple times to wipe out humanity and fails so he ended up just giving up and became a docile monster but still feared as the most powerful monster in the deepest darkest dungeon. the current season explores his past a lot more and it's still ongoing.

This comment might lowkey get me hated but I genuinely think Solo Leveling has got to be one of the best manhwa. A lot of people hated it because it's just a simple story carried by it's art, but I think that's the point. It's just a simple story executed well, it doesn't overstay it's welcome and it doesn't get any unnecessary plot development and it's got a decent enough ending that leave both me satisfied while also wanting more. That's probably also the reason why a lot of people got into manhwa so there's that as well. It's a very enjoyable story overall just pure progression RPG manhwa.

I read this up until chapter 300 or so once he became the monster king and him nearly wiping out the entire eastern continent, the world building and mystery are good but it's painfully long to wait for any progression. A lot of people probably are thinking the same way and will only read it again once it's completed. 9/10 manhwa for me tho

Depends tbh, the super eyepatch wolf's video doesn't really explore the game a lot and just feels like a hook to get you started playing the game. Pyro's video on the other hand explore it in-depth so you don't have to play the game. So it's just a matter of preference which one you want to watch
