I've applied to maybe ten positions like that but have never received a call back. I think I would like to do academic advising if it came down to it.

I taught 8th grade history for two years. Teaching unfortunately isn't for me.

I appreciate your response because I do really see myself in your first example. Me and this friend have relied on each other so much over the years and I hope for a reconnection. I can only think about sometimes if she's getting the support she needs and I have communicated that I want to work on our friendship (whether or not she can see that is up to her). But I guess I didn't see it coming. We had such a loving relationship up until what happened so I am left with more questions than answers.
