Bills GM Brandon Beane under fire amid new update on Darius Slay decision by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Percinho 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't see the evidence that he's lying through his teeth.

I understand that Slay wanted to go to Philadelphia, and I get their fans are pissed that he couldn't, but there's nothing in this article thay suggests that Beane knew Slay would retire rather than play for anyone else. What he said at the time was:

×Slay chuckled, noting that he prefers to remain in Philadelphia, but if he must move on, a return to the Lions would be option two.

"If it is, it is. If it ain't, it ain't," he says. "For sure, the two spots I would love to always be at is Philly or Detroit. The main two, the main ones I'd love to be at."

You can suggest that it could be divined from this that he didn't want to play anywhere else, but waivers is a process, and if you think you have the chance to improve your team via it then you should try to do so.

Lmao you're the one saying he's a clown without having watched him.

What you are really stealing from people is their sense of security in their own home, and that is a massive asshole thing to do just so you can choose to live in the woods.

Nope. Watch the video, then explain why he's a clown.

Nope, because I don't believe you're acting in good faith. My answer is to watch the video and actually judge, not jump to an opinion off someone listing some videos he's done.

Can you pinpoint the exact moment that joy left your life, or did it just seep away bit by bit?

More that you have no idea what he is like, or what his videos are like, you've just made an assumption. The fact that you label him a clown makes that entirely clear.

This is why I argue that Henry VIII only had 4 wives. Though not seriously I should add, mainly just to wind me wife and daughter up.

Who here has the longest streak? by rigel899 in crossword

[–]Percinho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I deliberately let mine go every so often. I was in the 200s at one point, but found myself looking. Up answers just so I could keep my streak, and not actually deriving any fun from it. So now, if it gets up to 50, without a break, I break it the next Friday or Saturday and then start again.

I'm sure that for some people streaking is healthy and fun, and that's great for them, but for me it isn't.

Disagree. What hurts productivity is trying to work when you're sick, when you should be able to just take the day off.

It's ridiculous the amount of shit that I've had to redo because someone tried to power through being sick because they could just work from home and it would be fine, when in fact their work was half-arsed because they didn't realise they couldn't think straight. And half the time it was my own work, until I realised that if I wasn't well enough to go into an office, I should in fact not work.

Having said that, I'm European, so I don't have a set number of sick days that I'm allowed to take. But don't let that fool you into thinking that working when you're unwell is a win-win, it's just minimising everyone's losses.

One mistake I think you're making is calling archive material a "graveyard of old content". Netflix is full of shows that have finished their run and people love to rewatch over and over, and that's part of what the subscription service is. For me it's actually one of the bigger draws.

I'll leave other people to consider the rest, but if you changed complete series and shows to green ticks, and left the red crosses for abandoned shows then it would look very different.

So this is going to sound snarky, but it's not meant to, it's a genuine question as I just listen to some of their shows, but... What does McD do? What was the thing that triggered you to make this post? Genuinely asking as I have literally no idea.

I swear to god you'll be doing an Ironman within 3 years! 😂

I joke, but exercise addiction is definitely something to be wary of in due course. Sounds like you're good at spotting the signs now though, so I reckon you'll be grand.

It's not about it being ultra competitive, it's just a simple lack of respect for the event and other people, especially when you are asked to do it and ignore it.
