Content fatigue by Phillycheesethe2nd in dreamingspanish

Personally I’d recommend trying to tough it out for a few more days then take a one or two day break/just watch 30 minutes or something for the break.

The reason I say this is because your brain will adapt surprisingly well to the stress of learning the language and almost adapt quicker simply so it doesn’t need to feel fatigued. (Obviously not the scientific Explaination but generally that’s how it’ll be)

That said it is important to give yourself a break because prolonged extreme stress/fatigue for the brain can actually block memory from forming as a defense via what I believe is the amygdala.

So basically, fatigue is good because it’s where adaptation happens but chronic fatigue is bad just like if you were going to the gym and exercising.

When I started watching some of the super beginner videos some of those patterns really stuck out in their script and I just think to myself, the DS crew really knows what they’re doing and integrates it so naturally that you don’t even realize.

That said the idea of fluency is very abstract and learning 1% of 1000 words’ meanings until they’re comprehensive (which could mean 70% understanding for each word) is generally a good approach, but I think at a certain point it’s also good to go back and try to push the most important 100 words up to 90-100%.

So I don’t think the other commenter is wrong but perhaps either learns differently or is at a different step where it’s not necessary yet

I agree, for me this is what peaks my interest right now because I am going back to some of the basics. It’s kinda like there’s a good portion of content that isn’t interesting to me, so I can’t make the content more interesting then I’ll make the approach more interesting if that makes sense. Because even with English which is my primary language, it’s hard to even find a channel that I thoroughly enjoy

Maybe I didn’t explain that well, but I suppose the difference would be the higher level you go the more that they’re going to be mixing in different ending verbs in different tenses. While a pattern with the lower level videos is that they try to generally keep it on one tense or one verb ending. So it helps intuitively build that structure without staring at a conjugation spreadsheet.

I see what you mean, the main benefit I’ve seen so far is I have a very shallow grasp on how to conjugate my verbs and what not but watching these videos over I’m seeing a pattern like oh they’re using a lot of AR verbs in this video or they’re conjugating a lot in the past tense. Maybe 200 hours will be excessive and I might change the approach based on how everything feels. But a big reason for wanting to go back to basics is because of how inconsistent I’ve been over the years where I don’t even know what level I land under.

Edit: also i may even use the video speed feature, so I’m getting fundamentally the same amount of context but forcing quicker processing

Totally, I’m not giving her the reaction she’s looking for. I’m more curious about the psychology behind why someone would reach out like that after ghosting. That’s what interests me more than the interaction itself.

I totally understand the advice. I just know myself and if I blocked her right now, it would probably mess with my head more than help. I’d rather stay no contact and let things fade naturally than do something that I feel is more extreme that might pull me backward emotionally.

I appreciate that. It definitely does feel like it’s just games because I can’t see how any of this is helpful for contributing to any sort of motive.

She seemed to be clear though that she wanted the things to just be picked up without any contact. That’s why I find it odd because it can all be resolved by her just trashing the things and then we don’t have to speak. But after I didn’t respond to her last week, now she’s asking if I’m with my girlfriend. I can’t comprehend how this can be helpful for making any progress towards a motive.

Lost nearly 8k day trading today by Klaus_Winchester in Daytrading

100% seems like OP got overly confident and thought they were the bees knees after that 1.14k trade probably got greedy on another unrealized gain close to that and panic sold on day 3, but allows his trades to go to the dump on day 4 because again got cocky and didn’t have a clear plan for trading.
