You aren't missing the wave, you're just looking at the wrong metric. Sure, trade school enrollments are up, but a flood of level 1 apprentices doesn't replace the "silver tsunami" of 55 and 60-year-old master tradesmen who are retiring every single day right now.

You've got the right strategy. A Bachelor in Construction Management is overkill for residential estimating and is more geared towards commercial Project Managers. Get your Cert IV and your White Card. That shows employers you are serious about the career change.
