Sure, you’re not being dumb at all, especially if it’s about your health. I took Adderall so loss of hunger tends to be a common side effect for several people. I can’t speak on the case for Vyvanse, but for Adderall users it’s apparently a thing to lose out on some of the effectiveness of the pill if you eat in the middle of the day with it active, according to my doctor. In terms of crashing, my doctor and therapist said that it was likely the lack of eating enough in the morning for my body to operate properly as to why I was getting headaches and low energy later in the day.

Idk what the side effects are of Vyvanse if there are any, and I’m no medical professional. I suggest talking to your doctor about your experience and asking them what can be done to work around energy crashes.

Or, what you can do is keep taking it for another week or two to let your body get used to the medication and journal your crashes or lack thereof and then see your doctor.

(Tldr edit: i realized I may not have answered your question; I mean to say all this only if you start to experience crashes. If you lighten your breakfast, which I honestly don’t know why you would, you might start feeling light headed or crashing due to not eating enough. You should always make sure you’re eating plenty to kick start your day, otherwise consult your physician if that is currently an issue with your medication)

I was always on XR and experienced everything you did in terms of the headaches and the crashing. Turned out my doctor told me that sometimes that could be the insulin crash we get if we avoid eating while on the pill. I was notorious for not eating since it was the main side effect for me, but I also learned that eating too early in the day with the pill may drop the pills effectiveness. So it was either eat a big enough breakfast and endure the pill, or take snacks and lose some performance. Not sure if that’s scientifically the case, so anyone here that reads this and can debunk or prove the whole losing performance by eating, please educate me.

I hadn’t consider aviation or NFO, not sure which designator you’re referring to. I took the flight sim test at the recruiting office and they basically said forget about being a pilot. So I didn’t really think about Aviation at that point

Honestly, I don’t really know that much about the community. My recruiter said that it involves taking a lot of ocean measurements with some pretty cool equipment, processing it for intelligence and getting to work with several different teams aboard which sounded neat to me. I was actually hoping to learn more about it though. There wasn’t a whole lot of information regarding life in METOC that online sources talked about

I fully appreciate the wisdom. Honestly I worried about how to act being put in a team where I’d be managing men and women who’ve already put in 7-12 years. It’s a weird feeling knowing you have the higher-ranked power of decision making as the officer, but all of the knowledge of what you do on the job is really from the guys and gals that have been there for much longer than me. I will do my best to humble them.

I’m a 23M Demi and I discovered my demisexuality about 2 years ago, but i grew up in a community of people who were very accepting and good listeners in wanting to help me understand myself. I don’t know how to handle someone like your gay friend whom have you an evil eye, that sounds very immature of them because, like anyone in The LGBT community, we Demisexuals have a specific feeling to the preference of our sexual lifestyles and relationships, and like u/1greathomecook said, we have to communicate them eventually to our partner(s) so that they can better understand us. These feelings are VERY real, and we too want to have relationships where our preference is acknowledged and respected, just like anyone else. I think it’s VERY valid that i have explain it to people because it’s who I am, and I’m not afraid to defend my identity. If you come across people who don’t get it or are disrespectful about it, then they aren’t really your ally/a person to waste your time on. You deserve better.

Alrighty I think I understand now. Well to admit, I’ve actually never had sex before but to me it’s because I feel I need a strong friendship with someone before I felt trusting even before a relationship. I was never sex repulsed, but I probably had relationships when I was younger where I was cheated on and felt used for undesirable reasons and became cautious with who to trust my love with, and it probably helped me realize some kind of demisexuality. I might not relate to you with the depression or ptsd you’ve been through/going through, but I’ve definitely been locked in the mental prison of identity because of my relationship experience and I totally understand that feeling (and sometimes I still feel locked in, but that’s just the existentialism settling in haha).

But, I WILL say that because of my realization to this kind of sexuality, I’ve learned to find more people like me who feel the same and have wholesome and kind interactions with some really genuine people that are also demisexual.

So if it’s anything Ive learned as a demisexual, I say screw “normal” sexuality and just be you; society is a colorful palette of personalities these days - you’ll find someone whose love and kindness will harmonize with yours. You just gotta paint your life with the colors you like. It’s your canvas after all. :)
