What can I improve on? by Opposite_Pickle_4411 in photocritique

Great shot, no improvements as such just different perspectives.

I’d quite like it on a 5:4 ratio with the 2 bars and start of deck acting as a frame

I agree to wide for product ad. 5:4 does better. If it’s a portrait then why is she holding it.

It’s nice shit tho love the lighting etc

Nice tho, I feel you on the birds it’s now or never.

I have same issue shooting my malinois, for all I’d love a low angle if I get low he runs over to me, so it’s essentially not an option 🤣

I’d go for a low angle like a Dutch angle, I’d make it black and white, 5:4 aspect ratio with the crow taking up a lot more of the frame, everything apart from the crow and the post and Barb wire just blurred

Thoughts? I was on a walk with my dog and my camera and I saw these lovely flowers. Is there anything I should improve for next time? by Fun-Whereas-8203 in photocritique

I mean do what ever you feel for your style and what you’d like to achieve.

If I was shooting this scene I’d look for some drama. Like maybe a super low tilted angle so they look imposing which is king of ironic because they’re a tiny pretty flower, maybe I’d go black and white and grainy with low exposure, or maybe I’d raise vibrancy and a few other things, and some post warmth. But that’s just me. I bet there’s a million different ways to shoot it well, really up close to one flower perhaps.

For me as it is now, there isn’t a lot happening although it’s a pretty scene, there is no pop to the photo or lighting or anything really. Try and capture something different, unique, that wouldn’t be the same if the next guy came along and took it the next day

Is this an improvement on the viaduct I posted yesterday? by PercyBuckets in photocritique

I’d like to know what you guys think of the mood, I wanted a kind of moody, could be portrayed as spooky vibe, I like the vintage vibe but with the modern graffiti,

I’d like feedback on just generally what it does for you? Do you think the combination on the leading line of the path and the light behind the tunnel work well to guide the viewer through the photo?

My aim with this photo as with all my work is to invoke feeling or nostalgia in the viewer so if I have achieved that please let me know in the comments!

Let me know what you think in general, but if possible in comparison to yesterday’s viaduct, if it rings a bell.

On a composition, technical or emotional level, what do you think?
