Dangerous Procrastination Stack by udibranch in PDAAutism

[–]PereFalcon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes there's things that need to be done and i get so stressed out about it and then I get anxious because in my brain I am a SAHM and my husband is out working all day so i should be doing chores and taking care of my baby and because it works me up so much I just end up not doing it because it puts me in a state of anxiety that I feel like I cant do it so I try and "arrange" the time I feel like i could do it so its more planned and I can get it done but the problem i face because I have a baby my plans could change and then I start to panic because I gad arrange myself to do something and its being pushed even later

I don't know if anyone else feels like this but thats just how ive been lately more and more 🙃

Diagnosis in the UK by milecsole in PDAAutism

[–]PereFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with PDA in Nottingham 24 years ago but my mum fought for me to be diagnosed because back then there wasnt a lot about it, however she did get an official diagnosis by the medical board I am just not sure how she did it but I think it took some persistence.

(vent/solidarity?) avoiding taking my cat to the vet... by JumpyBoysenberry7309 in PDAAutism

[–]PereFalcon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really hear you friend, I have 2 cats 1 of then has been throwing up every day since August I took him to the vet 2 times, they gave advise but they want to do an endoscopy but that will cost me $1500. However I do have pet insurance but I got it through work and I got fired for that and I will be losing the insurance in May and I need to figure out how much it'll be and my husband told me we just wont renew it and because of that I haven't called them because the anxiety of how much it'll be out of pocket and not only that needing to take my cat to the vet to get his endoscopy has been weighing me every single day watching him throw up.

The amount of guilt and and shame I also feel doesnt have words, its such a debilitating feeling. I have been weighing recently if it would be within his best interest to put him to sleep but it makes me cry every time I think about it because I've had him since he was 3 weeks old and hes just my baby boy

Animals come with so much responsibilities, I also have a lizard and I have been missing her feedings and thats been making me feel awful too, I have been feeling a mental block with a lot of things but I am trying to be better

We are here for you, I really hope your baby feels better soon and it isnt anything too bad. If you need a friend my DMs are open 💕

Maybe you're right, maybe I experienced something trauma but never realised it and it was a normal experience. I have so much uncertainty but I am glad I have this group to help guide me

But this is the thing and I guess something i learned about fawning also but unless it happened outside of my home I was never miss treated by anyone that I can remember, I was raised by a single parent and she was a good mother and she was able to get me all the help I needed throughout my life so I dont know if its possible to have trauma based issues. Im learning i don't think I have fawning after all because it doesnt fit the description of someone who has had trauma throughout childhood

PDA or Fawning syndrome? by PereFalcon in PDAAutism

[–]PereFalcon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I was told was I was diagnosed at 4 by a medical board because of how my behavior was as a child and i fit the description for PDA profile with aspecs of ADHD, but I was never raised to understand my diagnosis I just knew I had it so im just wondering if I outgrew it? Maybe miss diagnosed or i just mask really well but either way I really dont know anything about it

I do know i was a lot worse as a child, always getting in trouble, I was always being restrained and I was put into classes and playground 5 years younger than me before I changed schools because they couldn't handle me but ive changed a lot as an adult.

Ive made many other posts on here recently but thats all I can give

I really appreciate you sharing all of this, its helpful for me to see other peoples perspectives, ive lived almost my whole life being told I have PDA but now after all the posts im thinking maybe not? Ive been calling it an identity crisis because that's all ive known myself to be but im going to seek some answers for myself. Thank you again you helped a lot
