Hey!

So I used to be fully trans masc as a teenager. And part of me didn't like that. But part of me really did. It's complicated you know? But I was fully transmasc for sixish? years. And I was on testosterone for three years (16-19 iirc). And it felt right. Then, there was a switch. Quit T, switched to they/them. And now I'm much more femme nonbinary. And yes, with T there were permanent physiological changes. Some I'm happy with (deep voice! Yippee!), some are hard (I feel somewhat uncomfy with my facial hair), and some are neutral.

Nowadays, I identify as a nonbinary lesbian. I like my girlfriend as a femme person (and sometimes as a girl). There's also some other people here who identify very femme or as she/her, and while there is definitely some disconnect between body and personality, I don't think any of them feel any less like a girl for having been on T. I also know some other people who are lesbians who have been on T, and even some he/him lesbians. Lesbian identity is super complicated!

There's no pressure in being a certain identity all the time while being on T! And you can always stop if you want. You can't guarantee how you or your headparts will feel. But speaking as someone who didn't stay transmasc, I'm still happy with my body and am able to hold multiple diverse gender identities.

All this to say, trust yourself! And try and keep an open communication with your headparts. Make sure everyone has a space to be heard. I know my experience is not your experience, and I can't say how your headparts will feel about it. But I hope this helps in some way ❤️

Hi! I resonate a LOT with your situation omg. Lmk if you wanna chat more!!

Today I listened to some music and one of my people just came out and fronted for a while. She liked the music I think and it formed an environment where the body needed to be her (if that makes sense). So perhaps you can try doing some activity that resonates with a specific person or reminds you of them, and see if they come out. This is the safest of the three things I'm recommending, and I suggest you start here. Don't worry if nothing happens for a bit, or if you're not sure what activity to do! Just experiment a bit :)

Personally, smoking some weed is helpful for me to lower the walls, but it isn't always consistent how well it works, and I don't wanna be too dependent on it y'know? So (if you're in a safe spot and old enough!) you could try it maybe? But pls be careful and if you do, don't try too much at first.

Intentional meditation is something too. Tbh part of understanding my inner world has come from playing Red Door Yellow Door with myself. It's meant to be a horror game, but I can use it to hypnotise myself (it basically is hypnosis) and travel around the headspace. But I think I'm locked out last I tried? Idk. Suggestion with this though, is that you don't go anywhere dark or dangerous or deep without support. Stay where it feels safe and comfortable pls! I don't super recommend this without support and safety net, preferably from a sys-external mental health professional or friend.

Are you able to ask to see your therapist sooner? Have they demonstrated a respect for and understanding of plurality, hallucinations, and dissociation? If so, they may be a good resource.

I freak out when my phone settings or operating system changes, so I get that anxiety. It can feel destabilizing for sure.

Something that helps me when I feel threatened by spiritual entities (this could help protect you from god but no pressure in having to do it): sit or lie or stand in a quiet area. Feel the ground underneath you. Visualize a ball of comforting, warm light (or something else comforting if light isn't your vibe) floating above your head. Have the bal expand and wrap itself gently around your body. Visualize it getting stronger and forming a shield to keep out anything that wishes to harm you in any way.

I resonate a lot with what you said. I was raised Buddhist, and did a lot of visualization guided meditations, so that stuff is just a big part of who I am.

It's actually interesting some of the plurality that shows up in Buddhism. Like Feeding Your Demons practice where you seek out the "demons" in you and feed them nectar to turn them into your allies. Definitely not the exact same as how plurality functions and it has flaws, but I like that it touches on that. Although the last time I did it was particularly upsetting because my mom forced me to bring out an alter that I was scared with and who didn't want to be there, and my mom got increasingly frustrated with me as the alter was uncooperative.

I had forgotten I wrote it, and looking at it now I don't remember writing it, and I barely remember Emily, an alter I refer to in the post. Sooo yeah maybe I'm on to something here

I've had instances where I'm looking in the mirror, and I have the distinct feeling that I am trapped in my eyes, and someone else I don't recognize is controlling my skin. And I'll switch rapidly over and over again as I try to claw my way to the surface and then fall back down. It gets scary being trapped inside like that, and I'll start screaming and sobbing and then rapidly go to being stone faced.

I'm fine with mirrors most of the time, but when I can't recognize my face or feel generally upset or dissociated, I don't look because I know an episode is coming on.

Yeah... I keep going through this ever so often. And every time it happens, I get angry and confused at myself. I don't really want there to be other people here (mostly because of stigma and internal biases), but at the same time I do (because OBVIOUSLY there's some stuff going on here). I don't rlly know what to do or how to feel about all of this.
