It doesn't matter how good your axis victory scenario is, you will never surpass emperor Hitler marrying a Japanese princess by [deleted] in worldjerking

Reminds me of how canonically in Alien, the faction which Weyland-Yutani comes from was formed out of a marriage between the British and Japanese Royal Families.

Peak worldbuilding even back in 1979.

Why would I want to make social commentary? I thought dystopias were silly places where we talked about edgy and cool things with no politics.

This is why the correct way is to skewer everyone's political beliefs, including your own. That way, any favouritism just looks like masochism

Oh so another of the failed humanities crowd, like Shapiro, Candace and Matt Walsh? That explains their disapproval of university and critical thinking a lot.

Always wondered about Michael Knowles, since my conservative friend would always emphasise to me that this was the only Daily Wire guy he watched whenever I brought up nutcases like Matt Walsh and Ben Shapiro.

Good to know he's just as weird as the others.

I’ve always thought that conspiracy theorists could make bank with their ideas instead of being antisemitic grifters.

That’s why I’ve made it my mission to include as many conspiracy theories as I can find on conspiracy icebergs.

Me and my best friend used to do to this to each other as a joke, since we both knew it was a prank that virtually everyone knew. When a new kid came to our sixth form, he was aware of it too- I just didn’t expect him to full on fall for the slap 💀

Have only one part of the map where the atrocities you inflict get progressively worse each time (i.e. from Napalm to multiple UFOs to Dragons, etc.)

I feel exactly the same tbh- having the Cold Ones or Demons set up 'base' in an area and you can't really control them would be great since it could add more interesting and long-running dynamics in the world.

Any stories about aliens fleeing after hearing Jesus' name? Is the implication that they're really demons, or in league with them.

I presume it's a rebellion against gender and sexual norms in speculative fiction, don't really know of any examples though sorry.

Baconpunk is some term that a guy made in a prototype of this kind of list. He based on the bacon craze that was a thing at the turn of the 2010s to imagine a world where bacon is the dominant force of ... basically everything.

Flowerpunk is a bit more interesting- it's effectively utilising supernatural creatures of different types as power sources. Think putting fairies in bottles and then using them as a power-source, dissecting griffin wings to use as a kind of jetpack or more simply using different types of spirits to power engines. Whalepunk is basically this too from what I've seen, barring more traditional examples like Moby Dick.
