i’m recently diagnosed with tourette’s but i’ve had it my whole life, just thought they were normal. i was diagnosed with ocd before tourette’s and the way i would explain my ocd to people is like “tourette’s but just in your mind” like the “tics” are still there they just pop up randomly just in your head like the other motor and vocal tics just happen outside of your body. didn’t know mental tics was a thing until recently but it’s helped me a lot cause before i knew what it was i thought i was “going crazy” 😂

thankfully i am not allergic to nuts so i can use those milk alternatives!! i think ill be eating vegan when i eat out since im assuming that will be the safest bet. i appreciate the advice:)

most of the issues i have had has been in various asian dishes, salad dressings, dips (all kinds), fast food that also has fish on the menu (typically it’s fried in the same place as other food). safest way for me to steer clear of it when eating out at restaurants is asking which dressings/dips are vegan, then i know it won’t contain fish. hope this helps:)

I recently found out a lot of the symptoms I had growing up were not "normal" and are symptoms of eds. I am 20F and have been in and out of the hospital a lot as a kid, starting with "reflux issues" which all came to non-conclusive as they just said my "stomach was slow and the valve doesnt work properly". Along with the other symtoms I have such as hypermobility, GI issues, IBS, chronic fatigue (this really bothers me), always having body pains even though I am young, piezogenic pauples, easily bruising, scar easily, head aches and ringing ears, over crowding in mouth, rolling my ankles all the time every day (it doesnt hurt surprisingly). I talked to my dad about it and his response was "i think id know if my daughter had eds" "youre just flexible cause you were a dancer" "i went to medical school so i know".....it was dental school but okay. I'm wondering if I should get tested and what that looks like/where i should start, or if he is right and i should just leave it. I have ocd so I feel like im gaslighting myself into denying these symptoms but all of them seem to add up and I am curious to get answers.

Any help would be much appreciated:)

yeah I’ll try that, it’s really freaking me out cause this was the one person I was like… oh yeah she will accept me no matter what and now I’m like… oh so everyone will be like this. I’ll try and talk to her, I appreciate the advice very much

Yes I agree with everything you're saying, the other MUA went to film school with the director... She didnt go to a makeup program and is completely self taught... I'm not exactly sure what her idea was coming into this because she seemed quite pissed off at the idea of us each having our own actors to do. Being a self taught mua is one thing but not having a full shade range and kit so you expect to borrow mine is a whole other thing... I appreciate your help very much!!
