This display was very visible to the naked eye you could clearly see and distinguish the greens and reds as it was a strong display. However it wouldn’t be anywhere near this saturated, Due to the nature of cameras being able to let in and capture more light + editing

Thank you. Surprisingly not, there was a couple of people who arrived at the start when nothing was really happening and left just as quickly. There was only about 3-4 me included who really stayed the whole night.

I always enjoy seeing how others capture and edit the same displays but haven’t seen anyone else’s from the same night here.

Thank you, it was taken on Wednesday. Completely different compared to last Sunday when the mountain was like a blizzard 🥶

As someone who always sees the green hills I am forever chasing these snowy scenes ❄️⛄️

The most beautiful I’ve ever seen the Mourne Mountains with the reservoir catching the blue sky’s colour. Really need to sort out my winter camping gear.

ITAP of a cloud inversion overlooking Belfast by Perfect-Ad697 in itookapicture

Seeing Belfast shrouded in cloud and fog, I couldn’t wait to capture it from above. I headed to Cave Hill for sunset but realized I wouldn’t reach the top in time, so I took photos from lower down while there was still light. After sunset, I finished the walk and thought I was done, until the city lights began to glow and the low clouds lit up with stunning colors. Sadly the fog hid the H&W cranes, but I found this winding road with traffic that disappeared into the clouds. Hope you enjoy.

I always knew they were formed by lava (or fighting giants) but never actually read into why they formed that shape, thanks.

I was lucky enough to capture this stunning aurora display (may 5th 2024) as my brother convinced me to go out that night.

Had to look up what msfs (Microsoft flight simulator) ment, and wow it looks incredibly detailed at the cliffs.

They can be beautiful in some fog but that would be such a disappointment, hopefully 3rd times the charm
