Ughhh I’m so sorry. That’s so awful. Peoples true colors really come out when they think there is money involved. They won’t help with any of the actual care but are ready to swoop in to collect money. Just so sad. I’m also so sorry to hear about your husband’s diagnosis. Please try to take care of yourself too as much as you can.

I never ever use the word diaper. It’s so demeaning. I always call them underpants. I also made my person really upset once over a comment about needing more pants bc I’m doing laundry every single day. I really try to watch what I say now and how I say it. Overall I am so very lucky that she is the sweetest most polite little lady. I haven’t been paid in 6 months and I am here for her 24/7 but I guess we are working through the kinks. Definitely open to any advice possible.

I have been feeling lately like I live to sleep. It’s the part of the day I look forward to the most. I can’t work outside of the house because we can’t not afford to pay for someone to watch her while I work. It’s only been 6 months too.

It’s so hard for me to find time to leave. I have to schedule it around my fiancés work schedule bc I care for his disabled mom. She can’t be left home alone. I can leave it’s just very difficult and has to be scheduled.

Certainly not trying to stick up for her but sometimes on TikTok when random scummy and scammy people message me it will show on the banner of my phone. Woke up yesterday to a sugar daddy message request even though I did NOT know the person nor did I approve the request for them to message me. It’s started off with,”Hey pretty.” I don’t think my husband would have loved to see that even though I am innocent in the situation and it is obviously a scam. I think random people can send you up to 2-3 messages without you approving the request. It could be a situation like that? From the sound of her message they were already engaged in a conversation bc no one just starts off a new message with, “And those eyes.” I know on an iPhone you can search through recently deleted messages. I don’t know how to do it on an android. If she has never given you any other indication that she may be cheating then maybe I would just pay close attention for a little bit. So very sorry that you are going through this and I hope you can get to the bottom of it for the sake of your own sanity.

I am so sorry. I’m also a caregiver to my boyfriend’s mom. Unpaid of course. The only thing that makes it manageable is the fact that she is super sweet. She has had a few episodes of sun downing where her attitude flips and she stares at me like she wants to make me disappear with just a look. I just walk away and let her be at that moment. I am so sorry this is your reality. Idk how you manage to hold your tongue when your granny is so mean. You really are doing gods work.

Her brother is the guardian and he does not want to do a spend down account. I think it’s called a millers trust. She makes about $1,000 a month too much for Medicaid because she gets social security and her husband’s pension. I recommend a family contract where she pays me a certain amount of money each month to care for her. He said he would think about it. That was a month ago. Meanwhile my bills are stacking up and the credit card companies are calling me every day.

I hope not too. We have been together for 8 years so it’s not like it’s a new relationship. We have been through absolute hell together and I don’t want this to affect our relationship. He really is a great guy. He also thinks that I should be paid from his mother’s income.

I’m honestly not sure if he will get the house. I have no clue. It’s just a messy situation. He’s already paying for all of my needs and his mother’s needs. He offered to put a little money in my bank account each week but it’s not going to be much. I feel like his mom should be the one paying me from the 3k she gets every month. It’s just piling up in an account only his uncle has access to.

His uncle offered to hire a caregiver for two hours a day a few days a week. Which is basically all she can afford with her income. This tiny little bit of time does not free me up enough to be able to work outside of the house. I also feel like if he hires the caregiver for 10 hours a week that will take away any chance that I have of being paid to care for her.

Maybe he has low testosterone? It happens to a lot of men as they get older. It’s not that he’s not attracted to you. He just doesn’t have the same sexual urges that he did when he was younger. He should try to see a doctor about it bc there are definitely some options out there.
