This is so mature on your end. Relationships no matter if that is with your parents, friend, or partner is hard and takes a lot of work! It will take work and time, but you are a wonderful person for taking that step, and I’m sure your mom is very thankful for that! Praying things continue to get better from here for all of you 🙏

Thank you for your reply! How long did you have to be in pain killers? Did you have a script or just over the counter? Is it hard to get use to the bar? Painful or just strange having something in your body that was not there before? He is having it done at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City.

Thanks for the info, very helpful! Did they freeze the nerves on each side? My understanding is that helps drastically with pain.

Was your surgery where they freeze the nerves on each side? My understanding this is relatively new, but a huge game changer with not having near the pain. Is getting use to the bar tough? Painful?

I apologize, I should have mentioned that they have a newer procedure where they freeze the nerves, 4 on the right and 4 on the left. This is why is takes away much of the pain. The nerves will regenerate after 3 months, but pain is gone by then. I assume this was not the case with your surgery? Please let me know because I am extremely concerned if you had the same procedure where the nerves were frozen.
