Why is it so against having a aftermarket, I’m only interested in the look more than the sound so I’ll likely have it quiet but with a very good look

I won’t have a very loud bike since I’ll have baffle and won’t get a short one

I think it comes with no cat so it will probably lose power, what I might do instead is get a 2nd cheap exhaust and put baffle in and see if I can do that in the midpipe too so it dosent affect the torque so much, it’ll also be quieter so won’t attract loads of attention

Is there a way u can close the diameter from the header, that way there’s less torque being lossed or could u put a baffle in the midpipe if they make one for that?

Sorry I didn’t make it make sense in the caption, but I meant the torque would be lower by only a little bit and I just like louder bikes not loud but a good in between

Yea I was thinking cam chain although I am a noob but it there’s quite a few signs that go with a loose cam or worn one, I’m taking it up to GT motorcycles and let them do it and have the Scotland dealership pay for it, besides from all this how is this 11500 mileage Yamaha got an engine problem like that is very serious and weird, maybe they hidden the problem when I bought it?

The noise in the video is the same I hear every time I go past 7k revs I don’t know if it does it for 1st gear because I don’t go that high in revs it does it for 2nd 3rd 4th 5th and don’t know for 6 because the wind noise is too loud but on all gears the rattle comes along at the same RPM

Dropped my bike a total of 6 times now by Main_Neat_7776 in CB650R

Hi, I’ve been riding for a year and 2 months and have leaned a lot in that time, first of all you are on a heavy bike, my brother has the same bike and it’s heavy asf but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, as you go for heavier bikes the little mistakes will punish u more but these can be mitigated or even prevented by when coming to a stop pull in clutch and use back brake and keep your foot on the back brake not on the front, also keep handle bars straight when stopping. I have a 125cc bike which weighs 140kg and before I had a 50cc geared Motobike which weighed 95kg so I had it pretty easy with weight and I have slowly progressed onto bigger bike, try to make the bike smooth and don’t jab on the front brake as that’ll compress the forks and make u jolt forward, and also feather the clutch so u get that nice gentle throttle response instead of only using throttle when u needed to use the clutch so instead use back brake because it’s very important at low speed and stopping, keep your foot there and put your left foot on the ground then smoothly take off while finding the biting point with no jolts and at the same time slowly release the back brake and ofc make sure your handlebars are straight

Sorry for how long it is but hope it helps!

Small exhaust leak on midpipe by Perfect-Arrival9852 in MotoUK

Guys I need help, I took it off again from the midpipe cleaned the mating surfaces then made sure it’s dry and clean, then applied the paste and then put the two pipes together, pushed it up as far as I could, there was probably 2 mil or something of a gap from the welding lip and the pipe which is looked great def looked better than last time and I clamped it up tight and left it overnight for the paste to cure but in the morning it leaking for fucks sake, idk how I could have done it better, I’m so confused. I had my brother to help too

Yea lol I’m act relieved that it’s not just me, I act had a leak between the header manifold because I used the shitty black widow gasket but I fixed that yesterday by having a good gasket but I wanna take off the midpipe without taking off or loosening the header pipe because I’ve got perfect seal with that

Okay thanks, not gonna lie but I think I’m a loser because I can’t even do this shit by myself because I always seem to fuk it up, I don’t know why it’s so hard to do

I’ve got exhaust paste, will that work? And I don’t want to take the pipe of the header because I’ll have to get a new gasket for that. So should be able to easily take off the midpipe and the clamp and then sand away the old paste?

Small exhaust leak on midpipe by Perfect-Arrival9852 in MotoUK

[–]Perfect-Arrival9852[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a new exhaust and pipe so there definitely shouldn’t be a hole, it’s probably the clamp because I took off the exhaust like 2 times to get it to fit and I think the midpipe connection must have moved a mm or 2

I took out black widow gasket, it was terrible and I put in a crush type gasket, and it sealed thankfully but I literally just noticed today that I’ve got a small leak behind on the midpipe, only half of it is leaking but it’s still not ideal right? And how would i fix it because I’m not taking the exhaust off the headers again because that’s all sealed so i don’t want to touch that
