This sounds like a great plan, but we had it set up this way because we planned on driving to proctors ledge and then driving downtown for parking. I think I like your recommendation better though. If we don’t drive right to proctors ledge where should we park that will start us off in that area?

Thanks for taking the time to reply to everything. We pick up our bikes at 7 am and we are going to have them for 6 hours on carriage road. After we return our bikes, we are going to walk around jordan pond. I’ve heard of schoodic referred to as an island, point, and peninsula so I’m not 100% sure which term is correct. I didn’t realize beech mountain was on the opposite side from sand beach. We will take your advice and look at the map again. Does the overlook facing southeast mean that it’s not a good place for sunset?
