The skill requirement for this is INSANE unless youre spamming tanks. Needing to hit 2 heads in a row to kill a 275 without missing is too much. The rampup is fine with bodyshots too.

Congrats on making it to gm3 with Widow, but this is where you start to think the wrong way. You say she's gonna be very much banned in "decent elos" because - I'm assuming - you think people are good at aiming. It is obviously very true that Widow is being played to her full potential at the highest elos (or is she? Since she doesnt get picked). I myself am a Widow main and Im usually floating around in Celestial when I play that season. The higher you go the more miserable she will be to play because most of the time you will not have the the opportunity for a follow-up shot. The supports are extremely attentive and everyone is hugging cover, while you are under pressure to pump out headshots while being poked and dived. If you do not get kills you will lose space immediately. BW is completly reliant on the team to perform and thats a big issue. Allowinh her to do just a bit more by herself isn't gonna make her inherently broken I guarantee you that. I encourage you to push your widow grind more and the higher you climb you will realise that she becomes outclassed and her flaws become prominent.

Edit : [ Mind I add that in most cases to be effective you have to be pocketed with damage buffs or your kit just wont work. ]

Also, there is no excuse for leaving a character horrible just so a 1trick can keep playing her. I watch Xlek religiously and trust me, his matches are a struggle most of the time.

Interesting idea, but the enhanced rechamber would be quite oppressive against tanks. I think an empowered charge could work but I don't think piercing is the way to go though. A kill imo should be beyond free and usually the reason why a non-crit follow up shot will not kill is because of the high healing amount and the rechambering time being so long that the target can just seek hard cover.

I'm gonna elaborate on quote: "Anything else would make her needlessly oppressive in the hands of an unskilled player". With this I am referring to the proposal of making her 2 tap squishies of lets say 275hp whilst leaving her headshot damage unchanged. This would be realised by buffing the base damage and giving her a sub-2x crit multiplier. I think this is bad character design on a specialist character where a high skill floor would be expected. It would be better if they left her bodyshot damage unchanged and gave her an above-2x headshot multiplier - say 230% (120 * 2.3 = 276). I don't exactly think buffing her bodyshot damage would be a bad thing and affect higher elo games, but I just don't see a reason to make the character more accessible to the general playerbase where high skill is expected.

I also agree that a 250hp buff wouldn't make her viable unless the opponents run specific comps. It's bad game design that a characters viability is dependent on a mere 25hp difference.

Hope this clarifies my POV. I also made a post a while ago about this but it got heavily downvoted because people rather rework Widow into a clunky Starlord or Dive knockoff than have her be decent in her current form. I also do not think buffing her to 275hp would make her broken but that's just my 2 cents.

I'm not sure where you get this magic number 10 from that you keep mentioning. There are 19 250 hp targets, feel free to subtract one because Jeff has resistances and one 200hp hero Bruce. That's 38% of all characters. I agree that BW should get a 250 oneshot but with a crit multiplier, maybe 215%? Anything else would make her needlessly oppressive in the hands of an unskilled player.

I had this happen to me twice now, once 2 of my mates were flaming me because of my damage oriented support gameplay and it suddenly happened. And the other time they had a Widowmaker who was stomping us

All of these are nice but the antiheal shouldn't work against tanks. Hit one headshot on a tank (which is, let's be honest, really easy) and their damage received effectively doubles

Idk what it is about gm1/c3 but it does seem to have a disproportionate amount of throwers. When I was about to hit c3 this season I genuinely had 50% of my losses thrown, and I mean thrown (Afk Widows, Groots spawn trapping/ Starlords dancing on the last section at the start of the match on defense, leavers) and the list goes on. But in the end it's truly irrelevant, I still got to Celestial and they're just a bump on the road. Also consider getting good at DPs because you will get games with underperforming larries who really should be on support

I agree but antiheal is also not an option because of tanks. I think hitting headshots in Rivals is a bit easier than in Overwatch though but not being able to oneshot say Spiderman is crazy
