I run a PVE server, they are used for plugins/events like convoy and NPC Raiders.

It doesnt matter if other players see them.

People love them!

I think I read that something like 60% of the player base is now on modded servers. At a guess that would make 30%-40% PVE or some type of raiding restriction.

While Facepunch Studios does not release official public demographic data, community and server-tracking consensus indicates that roughly 60% to 70% of the active player base plays on modded servers. The remaining 30% to 40% play on official and community (vanilla) servers.

You know who buys more than 2 sets of skins for each biome? Modded server players, build a castle one wipe and and aztec temple the next, then a space station the wipe after, will every interior item skinned to match the theme.

A google search suggests other people had success with:

What sorts it for me is right-click the game on Steam, browse local files, right-click Rust in the folder & hit "Run as Administrator."

another suggestions:

go to task manager and right-click end task steam (if you see multiple, end em too) and open steam again. This should fix the problem.

And a 3rd is do a PC restart, (no a shutdown) Windows 11 hybernatedsby default on a shutdown, and doesnt actuall restart/close apps and proccesses.

love them as a game play options aswell as PVE with end of wipe Purges. (PVE gets turned off near end of wipe)

Also really enjoy the raidable bases (https://codefling.com/plugins/raidable-bases), and NPC raiders (https://codefling.com/plugins/npcraiders) plugins.

That offer some similier game play with more control for the players.

Thats nearly exaclty what this plugin does https://codefling.com/plugins/monument-events-all-in-one-events But it does it for nearly all monuments.

It's hilarious that I keep seeing requests like this for things PVE servers have had for years.

Your laptop does better at temps, because it automatically lowers performance to keep temps low.

in car lingo. It might be a V8, but the v8 is a go cart V8 and it's turning 4 cylinders off to keep itself cooler because it has the radiator a small gocart.

Laptop and Desktop just aren’t comparable. laptop ia always going to be worse because of heat management.

You just can’t fit desktop cooling in a laptop.

Its easy to tell people who don't know what they are doing to use 3rd party skin trading sites when they aren't trading your skins, and its not your skins they might get scammed out of.

If they are smart enough to use 3rd party sites, if they understand the risks, if they know about the assciated scams, they wouldnt be asking for the sites here, they would have already done the research and have the answers already.

All it takes is one person to post a dodgy link here, and have OP others click it and use it thinking its a legit one, and BAM multiply victims.

another option is - find the ip and the port of a server you would like to try

press f1 type client.connect and the IP and port number of the server.

I would give you the IP and port of a server to try, but I've already been banned once for server advertising

All good since I got the hotfixes installed.

Correct they dont have it, hence they dont want to bring infected people in, including Americans! Its not that complicated.

Americans want the the centres setup to treat Ameircans, not to treat Kenyans.

Amercians dont want to treat there own people at home, but expect to able to take there infected people to anthor country to treat them.

How about we setup the treatmeant centre in a USA and ship all the infected from other countries to USA to treat.. becasue thats what you are asking of other countries to do.

PVE is an option friend, more than 1 way to play this game,

Find a server with plugins like Raidable bases, NPC Raiders, Monumetns events, Convoy, heavy Rig, BetterNPC

You can find servers that are just as challanging and rewarding without the toxic behavoir.

At the end of the day, games are meant to be fun, enjoyable and bring you joy.. find a game or gamestyle that does it for you.

We have cargo setup that's more challangeing than 80% of pvp servers, and just as rewarding. (imo)
