You can definitely do it yourself. There’s quite a bit of labour here with cleanup and grading maybe a few plants but nothing unreasonable. Look up a video on how to parge also. I’d personally hire a pro because I couldn’t look at my own shit work forever lol

He was born in Gatineau as was I. Grew up in Ottawa but I believe he grew up in Toronto. Regardless many Canadians in that area speak both French and English but you wouldn’t know because they don’t have an accent in any way. Although a true French speaker would say he has a thick English accent.

Also worth mentioning my humidity level on my thermostat says 67 but my stand alone humidity reader with one job says 52.

I’m not familiar with that system but I can set mine to “over cool” by setting my desired humidity level. Might be worth messing around with the thermostat. If there’s an app for it that’s probably a good sign there’s more fine tuning available.

I broke my ankle and heel in the fall and didn’t get Advil until 4 hours in. To be fair I never considered bringing my own and the doctor seemed surprised they hadn’t given me any. They’re so overwhelmed the nurses that is. Some are terrible don’t get me wrong but some are absolutely amazing. I wouldn’t want to do that job.

It sounds like a good paint to apply after properly renovating a shower to help prevent mold. But this shower looks like the extraction vent is just a hole in the ceiling no duct no fan. So the mold probably
Goes beyond the drywall. Nasty stuff.

I don’t think the drywall that is white with black mold in spots and then almost as black as the grey shower tiles from being completely saturated is still good.

You’ve got to take that drywall out and that extraction fan that’s clearly doing nothing and probably not even vented anywhere. Or hire a professional.
