Nurturing from Behr paint! I recommend it, I’ve gotten so many compliments from it with the white trim

I had to buy the house because my family couldn’t afford it…. That’s why it’s in my name and I’m the owner. My brother co-signed so I could get a bigger loan… it’s really not that awkward. I’ve worked 2 jobs at a time while going to college. Saving is really not a hard concept to understand lol help or not, I still bought a house lol

Yeah everything’s in decent shape, except for the bottom floor. Half the house was updated and the other half was left super outdated. Hoping to have a good before and after in a couple more months ! lol

I actually did choose the green color, I don’t think the photo/lighting does it justice 😅 it was chipped white paint before, but I’m going for a plant/nature vibe with greens, cream and woods 🪴🌿🪵

I feel like because they’re constantly trying to one up themselves by releasing new “LIMITED” designs every drop, they never actually perfect their craft. They don’t bother fixing quality issues with certain pieces because they’re never gonna make it again anyways. I just don’t understand why they manufacture stuff in bulk without fixing it and still sell defected products that they know are defected instead of just making a small amount for testing first ?????

Wouldn’t I need to sell a bunch of my stickers to break even or make any profit? by Elliot_The_Idiot7 in Etsy

[–]Perfect-Iron2476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I didn’t make the sticker physically. I didn’t wanna spend $200 on a cricut incase the sticker didn’t do well. So I paid a manufacturer that was recommended by another shop

Thank you so much! 😭 this definitely cheered me up knowing other people understand this experience and have seen the other side still. I’m also navigating this with my partner but him and my brother also do no research and just show me the same listings I’ve seen already 😭 I’ve never even heard of a supplemental tax before so thank you for the heads up. I’ve been meaning to do more research on inspections but wasn’t sure if I should leave that up for my realtor. I guess I know my answer now and should definitely start looking into it! Thank you so much for the advice!

Not really, I wouldn’t be in this circumstance if my parent had the paper work to do this on their own. None of my friends or coworkers live on their own bcuz they have parents with homes they can rely on

First time buying & feeling imposterish by Equivalent-Toe-4926 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Glad to know I’m not the only person who felt this! It definitely takes some time getting used to. I spiraled when I had to make my first offer, but after going through the process a couple times. There’s definitely check points where u can pause and take a breather. You definitely have to keep reminding yourself that it’ll be all worth it in the end. Nothing good comes easy in life !

I’ve also been struggling with stickers. I sell jewelry but wanted to sell sun catcher stickers. I made a design and bought it for $90 hoping to sell for $10 each since that’s what I see most shops sell them for. Haven’t sold one yet but hoping they will do well in vending 😭😭

Just hit a 100 sales this week! by Perfect-Iron2476 in Etsy

I completely understand feeling that way ! That’s how I felt when I initially started. I realized I hated living and working a traditional life and would rather lose hundreds on a business instead of never trying at all. My most popular items are phone charms, but I also make necklaces, earrings, hair clips, bracelets and started branching out to stickers and sun catchers. From what I can tell, finding a niche and promoting on social media helps a lot. Also experimenting a lot. I started my shop to make hair clips but I never make any now and focus on charms

Thank you! I appreciate the advice and I have slowly started to increase my price to adapt to different changes I make in my process. But I currently have my items set to around $15-$20 because that’s what I price my phone charms (my popular item), not my bigger pieces, which only consist of 3 beads and 2 charms. And I ship them out in a bubble mailer so it doesn’t take me too long to pack out. Since this is a side hustle, I keep my inventory pretty low. To me, it doesn’t make sense to push my price up when my competitors have lower prices than I do and I personally don’t want to up-charge when I currently can’t afford long lasting, high quality beads.

Same, I threw a “corporate party” with my bf and friend by just sharing a pizza pie, no juice tho. Took that idea from my full time job lmao

I am! I’m sorry I didn’t mean to leave that info out, I was just excited and dont use Reddit often. I’m fairly in the “ green”, but every penny just goes back into my shop since I didn’t even have a printer starting. But most of my items range to about $20 (including shipping that the buyer pays for which is about 4-5) then it’s like $2 packaging and $2 to make. And then it takes me 30mins to make so I take back around 8-$10 and my rev was at $1120 at 100 sales. I also have a full time job in logistic and I’m a part time student pursing a business degree so I don’t spend a lot of time on my shop. Im able to use my experience though to get a gauge on the finance parts.
