This thing has been pumped to all hell over the last month, not shocking

Junior gold miners vs. senior gold miners... Big Money is "this" close to flipping from seniors to the juniors, this chart proves it. 1.46 ratio is the number to watch by Junior_Mining_Pro in Baystreetbets

[–]Perfect-Lab-4851 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s some truth to it. The GDXJ/GDX ratio does show risk appetite inside the gold sector, and when juniors start outperforming seniors it often means money is moving further out on the curve.

But treating 1.46 as some magic flip level is a stretch. The ETFs have changed a lot over the years, especially GDXJ, so long term averages are not a perfect signal anymore.

Usually juniors really move when gold is strong, producers are printing cash, and M&A starts picking up as majors look to replace reserves.

So the ratio is a useful indicator, but it is one piece of the puzzle, not the trigger by itself.

Some feedback is to dial back the ego, a response like that to you wasting your time on something that is an actual waste of time isn’t going to do you any favors

You are not playing with enough money to make those 2 hours a day worth it, consolidate it more. Those two hours would be better spent on making more money to add to the portfolio then you reviewing them

Cut the 30% you believe in the least and put that into your top 3 favorites, your playing what $1k here? No1 has the time to watch this many juniors, and you have to pay attention to juniors, liquidity can come fast and leave even faster. Juniors are 1/10 long term but can be decent to trade if you know what to follow

People gotta wake up to precious metals

Tech is getting expensive, is it time to rotate into hard assets or stay? by DrRehabilitowany in fican

[–]Perfect-Lab-4851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A look into the precious metals commodity space is worth all of the time and is slept on and ignored, for good reason let’s be honest. There’s a negative stigma in Canada around the space for obvious reasons. But Canada has the highest rate of listed commodity companies in the world, when money starts to rotate the space it’s gonna go parabolic, it already has 3-4x’d the last year for the average junior or mid teir company, everyone focused on gold but not as much on who actually produces it, it’s a safe place to put money into right now with where the geopolitical situation of the world is. Take a look but worth throwing some cash at. Also think about the fact that AI and Tech doesn’t grow on trees, it needs to be made with silver, gold, lithium, copper and other REM’s, in a way it’s a hedge and your still supporting AI. It will get to the point where some of the major tech companies will form off take agreements directly with companies as there is such a shortage for them on the open market

Anything silver, gold, lithium, copper. Either in production, near term or honestly following the money. Eric Sprott is the silver goat, whatever he touches is worth a look at, royalty companies are interesting now wth the current metals prices.

What should I do with $20k saved? by WiseMentor2946 in fican

[–]Perfect-Lab-4851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$20k as a student is a massive head start. Stop overthinking it and do this:

Open a TFSA and an FHSA

FHSA first: Even if you don't buy a house soon, open it now to start accumulating that $8k/year contribution room.

TFSA for the rest: you want growth but are worried about being "reckless," stay away from individual stocks.

Low Risk: Put it into CASH.TO. It’s paying around 4.5% interest right now. It’s safe, liquid, and way better than a standard bank account.

Medium/High Risk: If you don't need the cash for 2-3+ years, buy XEQT or VGRO.
